White with Green specs Linen

I have had several (less than 10 more than 5) titlists converted. Your cue is going to look "old school". The white with green looks very old school.

I have had several done this way too.

Good Luck.

Be sure to post when complete.

Your friend in pool,

Old School LQQk

Hey Kenny,

Yea, that's kinda what I was shooting for with this cue :)

It's kinda a copy of an old Rambow cue; it had the white with green spec wrap.....not sure if we will do that or a white with double black  decisions-decisions....lol :D

I'll keep you guys up-to-date for sure! Hoping to get some pics of a couple old Hi-Run Butterfly cues Brent has in the works too!

Havin some fun,

Ken ;)

Wrap

Wow! You are going to have a gorgeous cue when it is finished. I recently picked up a beautiful Blackcreek Titlist with very similar veneers. It has a chocolate brown lizard wrap.

I would go with a green on white speck Courtland as my first choice (if you can find it). I have also seen brown on white speck and double brown on white speck that would be a great combination with the color of your rosewood (especially after it is sprayed with finish). I don't know about the single black on white though, I believe the single brown would add a nice, but subtle warmth to the cue overall.

Please post pics when it is finished.

How is the cue coming along? It looks very nice from the construction. I am quite curious to see how it turns out. If the owner would give us the pleasure.

I think the design is simple and elegant. But i thought that most rambow design is with a short butt plate. I wonder if there were any cue makers in the past that makes a long black butt cap like that after the thick ivory hoppe ring.

I am asking because my cue looks like that. Also a titlist conversion.

Lastly, Very nice cue! Very nice.

Cue nearing completion

Hello,

Scott should be completing the cue this week :)

I'll send you some pics once I receive the cue. This cue is not an exact copy of a Rambow cue; merely used the simple Inlay design :D

Cost of a Conversion

I would rather you talk directly with Scott about the costs of converting a cue. I will tell you that Scott was quite easy to deal with; communication was very good; and his pricing was competitive too ;)

Finished cue arrived today!

Here are some pics of the finished Titlist Purpleheart cue converted by Scott Whisler in Mesa, AZ. The cue is absolutely gorgeous....knowing what we started with vs what we ended up with is stunning to me :)

We used Ivory from a section of a 50 to 60 yr. old Walrus tusk recovered in Alaska by a friend of mine's father who was an Aleut native. It has some very unusual and unique marbeling which I think you will be able to see in the pics

We used the same Ivory throughout the cue for the joint, ferrule, inlays and Hoppe ring.

We settled on the white with green spec irish linen wrap to accentuate the veneers and purpleheart

The cue weighs approx. 19 oz, 13mm Talisman tip with pad, SS radial pin, very well balanced at about 18 inches from the butt -- shoots VERY solid ;)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH SCOTT....Beautiful Cue!!! :D
