I really like the look of this cue. Never heard of CAT cues but this seems like a lot of cue for $400.

Very sharp veneer colors and woods.

The only reason I clicked on this thread was I never heard of pheasantwood and wanted to see what it looks like.

Two questions I have:

How long have you been making cues?

What kind of finish is on this cue? The reason I am asking is that in the pictures it looks like a rubbed oil finish as opposed to a shiny auto finish. May just be the camera angle.

Very cool looking.

Thanks for the kind words!

Hi Brian,

Yea, I've had people say that I don't ask enough for my cues, but I do this as a hobby and not a business. If I can recoup my costs with a little extra to buy more materials, my hobby pays for itself

I started doing repair work about 9 years ago and I've been making cues for 6. I didn't plan on building cues to sell. I only started with the idea of making something unique for myself. However, it didn't take long and I was running out of places to put cues :embarrassed2:

I really need to get a better camera. The crappy one I have doesn't do justice to the finish or show the detail in the cue unless I'm just the right distance away when I snap the pic. Even then, it's not the best picture quality.

I use a water-based polyurethane for my finish. I don't have the room for a dedicated spray booth so I don't want to mess with the hazards of auto clear.

It's always nice to hear positive comments on my work.

Thanks again!
