This cue was just delivered to my friend Marcel in Singapore.

A lot of firsts here for me. First camatillo cue, first 2 piece butt, and first time to use abalone shell. Marcel did a wonderful job pairing up the woods and deciding the ringwork should be from the same material.

Thanks Marcel. Your cue was a lot of fun to make.

Agree Bro... Nice to se you again...

Kelly, your work is getting better and better... Keep it up...

Thanks to Kelly for making such a beauty.

I must admit that I did have many special demands and Kelly was a nice dude to accommodate to them, including doing abalone shell inlays for the first time.
I am very happy that all turned out very well.

Many firsts for you and yet you managed to build a beauty that hits well.

My friends here have tried your cues in person and judging from their replies here, I would think that they like the way your cue hits.

Keep up the good work and continue to make more great cues! :)

Quit yapping and start packing the cue. I'm waiting!!

Beautiful cue....

Love the Abalone inlays....really nice ringwork! Awesome pics too ~ Well done Sir

Marcel has been kind enough to send me the cue to play with and i have to say i'm impressed.
This cue is very easy to play with and get used to. Considered a firmer cue but still lively. One of the lower deflection maple shafts that i've played with and it provides very good (but not overt) power.
Naturally weighted cue @ 19.1oz with very good balance.
Definitely a strong playing cue and i can see why Marcel swears by it.

Aesthetically it's a very nice combo or strong and beautiful wood, the paua shell dots are a nice introduction to the cue and it was smart to have it on the maple ring as it really pops. Cue is well made and well executed. I've taken some very close up shots of the dots and inlays are very well done too.

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Many thanks to Jive who managed to bring out the beauty of the cue. :D

The cue really plays well up to my liking.
Very good feedback from the cue, well balanced and plays pretty well.

Glad that a lot of my friends like the hit too. :)

the ferrule material is Modern micarta as what Kelly told me.

Perhaps Kelly can chip in with more information. :)

If I'm not wrong, it is Mason's New Micarta...

Correct! I sometimes jokingly call it Masonarta.

To make sure there is zero chance of mistaking it for the old micarta material, I refer to it on my web page is "modern micarta".
