Here is a picture of the start of this project. Have a barn that has seen it's better days, built in 1910. These are the white oak stanchions I salvaged recently for a cue project. Have enough for six to eight cues. The trees these stanchions were cut from had to be well over 100 years in age. I'm told white oak is a great playing wood. After wood has been dried and properly stabilized and turned, there will be a couple available in late March or early April at $595 each. Have a few extras I couldn't use because of small nails. Might be some nail free sections big enough for butt sleeves, grips or forearms. If anyone is interested in these I will sell a couple. Nails a little hard on cutting blade. If you have a simple design in mind for a custom order, I will be doing a couple of those.
