What type of joint is on my Helmstetter (5/16x14 or 5/16x18)?

Can anyone tell me if my Helmstetter cue has a 5/16x14 joint, or a 5/16x18 joint?

I think the pin is 14 threads per inch, but I am not sure.

I would just like to be sure, because I would like to get a new shaft for the cue.

You can measure an inch of the pin and then count the threads and come up with the threads per inch. It does not look like there are 18 TPI from the pick. It could be 5/16 x 14.
 
Well, the threads that I could count added up to around 10, and that was around 3/4 of an inch. I assumed 5/16x14, but I know that most Helmstetter cues were 5/16x18. Thanks for your reply.
