LOL...I guess I'll have to unpack/repack, since I was planning on wearing jeans. :)

Kudos to the tournament director for the dress code. Perception is reality.

If this game is to be respected, then respect the game and dress appropriately.

Wish I could be there! Good luck hosting this weekend, Ozzy. I know all of the hard work that went into this.

Suh-weet. I prob Should have thoght to check there, eh?!

Lots noteworthy on that chart, for me. A couple wins especially, by Danny bell and Brian deska, make I happy.

Not sure who I want to see win from here, but my 2 faves are Danny g. And Larry k. Go on, ladies.

Looking forward to hearing the final story.

Its down to Oscar Dominguez (who sent Shawn Wilke over to the losers' side) vs Brian Deska (fresh off sending Shawn packing). True Double Elimination, Brian has to beat Oscar twice.

Quotes: "Today ain't my day." and "Oscar do you want to play some straight pool?" by Shawn Wilke don't reflect how incredibly well he played. That he lost shows how much talent is here. This has been some of the best pool I've seen in some time.

Oscar misses the 7, leaves Brian safe. Brian calls for a 5 min break. Then comes back and runs the rest of the rack, nearly scratching on the 9, making it 5-4 (Oscar leads).

Ugly rack, back and forth, misses on each side, testament to how tough Diamond tables with Simonis 760 and tight pockets are, Oscar digs in and makes it 6-4.

The majority of the tables are Black Gold Crown VI with Simonis 860 cloth and regulation pockets, and the final matches are on the Diamonds.

Oscar FIRES in an impossible 4 ball and gets 3 rail perfect shape in a tiny 4x4"area for the 5 ball, really the ONLY place to be for the run out, and captures the first East Coast 9-Ball Championship!

Kudos to Brian for (as the tournament announcer said) "grinding his way through the one loss field". Great tournament!
