Pay-It-Forward Giveaway! Free AzB patch and Thank You!
I want to publicly thank Jerry, Fatboy, and AzB!
Jerry posted a thread, which can be viewed here: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=347262, posting that Fatboy had declined his prize and decided it should go to someone who couldn't really afford the Training Set, but who would actually use it. I was actually interested in an AzB patch, but PM'd Jerry anyway because I know a few guys that are in the position Fatboy described. I was a little late, but Jerry PM'd me and said he would send some chalk and patches my way. On Friday I received a little package and inside I found these:
6 cubes of masters blue chalk
2 AzB stick-on patches
and a $20 bill
The $20 bill was a nice gesture from Jerry. I PM'd him to let him know, that I really wasn't in need or hurting on funds, but I decided to pay it forward. He told me he noticed that it was being sent to a rural area of Louisiana and wasn't sure of my resources (That in itself was a nice gesture).
I had taken my girlfriend out for ice cream (paid with my own cash) and was deciding how I should pay it forward. Well the two young teens (looked about 15-16 years old) working the ice cream shop looked a bit down. Regardless one teen had looked up and asked me if I was having a good day, because I looked quite happy. I told them that I sure was and I hope they have a great day too (Then I slipped a healthy tip into their tip jar). They were very happy at that point :thumbup: Now, as far as the chalk and patches go, one patch is sitting nicely on my JB Rugged case and I'll be giving out chalk to those in need at the local league nights. The other patch is going to one AzB member.
I've decided to Pay-It-Foward again and send an AzB member a little package. I'm not sure what it is yet, but it will include the elusive AzB patch! (By the way, these are the new AzB patches)
Any ideas for a giveaway, fun contest, or prize ideas would be appreciated!
