Okay....just received my :Foot on the Floor" poster from Lou Cipollini, the original photographer/artist.

I don't know how many of the AZers I sent e-mails to responded and purchased one of these posters.
This poster is just flat out gorgeous and the certificate of authenticity that Lou issued adds sentimental
or call it nostalgic value. The poster is 17" x 23" and is in great condition and beautiful color illustration.

There were only ten (10) original posters retained by Lou as "Artist Proof Copies". Lou has numbered
these posters 1 to 10 in the lower left corner of the poster and he's retaining posters #1 & #2 for himself.
The certificate of authenticity states that there were only ten proofs retained, numbered and signed by
the photographer/artist from the original press run of the poster entitled "Must have one foot on the floor."
copyright date 1990 - issued & held by original photographer/artist Louis Cipollini.

Tomorrow I'm heading over to Aaron's Art Supplies and I'm having this poster framed. Once it's completed,
I'll post some photos of how it turned out. I'm thrilled because I received Poster #3 of 10 and I couldn't be
happier. I just think it's a great piece of pool memorabilia and thank you Lou Cipollini. What a nice guy to
become acquainted with and frankly, I think I just got really lucky.....even gonna buy a few Lotto tickets this
week; maybe it's sign of good things to come. My cue will be finished soon & I hope this lucky streak continues.

Do you have a photo?

Not yet....the poster is still rolled up in the tube and so it's naturally curled into a roll shape.
It's been rolled up since 1990 and so trying to take a photo is too hard at the present.

I'm just taking it as is to the art store and picking out a nice wood frame or maybe something
modern looking. I'm letting them make some recommendations about the matte color and size
of the frame to use. I want to be sure that the #3 of 10 is visible after the poster is framed and
probably have the Certficate of Authenticity mounted & affixed to the rear of the poster frame.

No I do not at this time.
The poster has been rolled up since it was printed back in 1990,....pushing 25 years.
So unfurling it to try and take a snapshot is neither worth the effort nor the risk.

I'm just taking it straight to the art store tomorrow and select a frame & matte.
I want to be sure the #3 of 10 remains visible in the framed poster and I'll have the
"Certificate of Authenticity Artist Proof" affixed to the rear of the framed poster.

I think this was just a lucky, rare find. Lou said I was the first person to contact him
and afterwards, I sent out PMs to over a dozen AZers telling them it's a foot race for
the remaining seven (7) original posters and also provided Lou's contact information.

I was lucky and have acquired numbers 6, 7, 8 ,9, 10 of the final 10 original new-old stock ... need to pick them up at the post office tomorrow. How much are the cues in the poster worth today?

You know it's difficult to assign any value right now since these were just a rare find and it's too soon to predict. Lou said he had
previously looked several times over the years for the original negative because he keeps getting requests for this poster.

When I called him, he had only recently discovered the original negative after ransacking his place for the umpteenth time and
that's when he found the cache of artist proofs. He can issue these posters as limited editions since he's the creator of the original
poster and these are from the original first print of the posters that he kept as proofs.

I happen to believe that the posters will gain in value and who knows what the price will be in a couple of years from now. I'll spend
$150-75 to get it framed nicely and I betcha when I've reached room temperature, my kids can probably sell it for a lot more than I
got into it.......presuming that's after another 15- 20 years or hopefully longer. I know that Lou realizes the value goes up when he
reaches room temperature but that's how it goes with pool cues and memorabilia.

I agree with you but I was speaking too all the BB cues in the rack.... would be nice to have those next to the home table...

I looked at that collection and came up with between $40 and $60k.
Hard to tell without some better, close-up photos of all of the cues.
