What the constant bickering and name calling etc on most everybody who enters those threads part? Agreed. This is a pool forum, not an argument forum.

The ability to disregard the thread is all in one's own finger... If you don't like a thread don't click the button... problem solved....

As far as John and SanJose go I think it's less mean spirited than appears most of the time... Dick and John spar but it's never been super personal like some of the other trolls have been over the years and they were left unmoderated so who knows....

Without the Lou v John stuff some days the forum is pretty dry of material... Those days I may stick my head in and see how much drama is being generated and who currently is having the last say... We know that will always change with the next post LOL

Yeah, but when it's arguments about pool, then perhaps it should stay.

It was civil by and large. But a few posts about aiming and it gets moved to the Aiming Forum. Weird. Can I get any thread moved by posting about my HAMGB system (hit a million ghost balls)? Will this thread be moved now because I mentioned it? I've revised my system, which I indicate by adding a "r" at the end. I call it HAMGBr, pronounced hamgurber. More info regarding the Hamgurber(TM) instructional DVD coming soon.

John and I agree on CTE/Pro One and I am interested in his match in March. I am also surprised that people are allowed to constantly harass JB and cut up his game when all he is attempting to do is improve and share information.

It is real easy to be a keyboard warrior and a naysayer.

The thread started out as have many others with John talking about his 1 pocket journey on the road and then they get derailed.

Rhea has a similar thread does she not?

Like was pointed out earlier - if you do not like the thread it doesn't take much effort to skip over it.

To address Mahna's point, do you see him as blameless?

There is a line when it comes to endless self promotion.
 
So he likes to discuss his upcoming match and if his business benefits from a little publicity so be it. I have no issue seeing somebody do well. John doesn't promote himself as a world beater - he knows his speed and feels that CTE/Pro One has helped him along.

I don't play 1 pocket, nobody does here but it does interest me a little.

Not sure why you all read and post in the threads if you don't like the content.

I would rather someone engaged and opinionated than someone who just sits back and takes shots behind a keyboard all day, like some that follow him around religiously.

The point is, he's not blameless. Neither is he concerned - it's just business. Any flak he gets is a) usually warranted and b) usually welcome.

The place just got more interesting

To your point, it was one thread. He wasn't spamming the forum, with multiple threads. Not that we haven't seen anyone do that lately...:rolleyes: Just one thread. Not endlessly over-running the forum with it.

I'm surprised they only moved it, rather than closing it, like they usually do. As usual, the tenor gets ugly, and the name-calling gets more prevalent. Folks think its fun to fire away.

Personally, I like the woofing. I just wish it could stay "woofing"...

You need to be careful what you wish for, or 'interesting' will not be an applicable description.

Excuse me Gerry, the difference could be, (A) Rhea does not post 75 times, in a 100 post thread !...(B) Rhea does NOT get PERSONAL, and insult the intelligence of anyone who disagrees with her, !...(C) She does not spend big $$$ on advertising, nor does she have a half page, billboard size sig line, with EVERY post she makes, thereby giving her a license to be 'semi mod-proof'... Even with all those things going for him, John still manages to get banned regularly !

Other things of note, she does NOT repeat herself, nor does she BRAG incessantly, when she knows she has NOTHING to brag about !...You, and a few other A.S.S. 'minions', may be the only people who have not noticed this !

PS..This has been a 'Public Service Announcement'...
