Drivermaker Memorial Holiday Tourney tracked by CDC

In an effort to keep AZB members informed of off season news that concerns the DMMHT this development has come to my attention.

I have been contacted by epidemiologists at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta. Apparently they have used the DMMHT participation in past years to track the worldwide spread of Cranial Rectosis (CR). Speaking with the doctors at the CDC they indicated to me that non-participation in the DMMHT is the currently considered the “gold standard” for identifying individuals suffering from Cranial Rectosis.

Do your part and stop the spread of Cranial Rectosis. Prepare now to Play in the DMMHT.

disclaimer; Since the CDC is a federal agency they do not track Cranial Rectosis in the Washington DC. area.

As co-director for the DMMHT with Willie this year I wanted to remind everyone that the CDC is very interested in the tournament and is watching closely. CR has been identified as a condition that the Department of Homeland Security is watching closely for obvious reasons.

Actually, I have to admit an error on my part. A few months ago I posted some X-rays I believed to be Willie’s. A friend that is an X-ray tech assured me they were Williebetmore’s from a recent visit.

As it turns out he just grabbed some classic examples of CR and told me they were Willie’s, how was I to know? At least we have some good images of CR symptoms. CR is impossible to self diagnose but if someone close to you says “you must have shit for brains” or “ is your head up your ass?” and you are not participating in the DMMHT the problem is clear.

Luckily a total cure is available. Play in the DMMHT.

You know, while whoever the hell drivermaker really is may be a respected pool player and very knowledgeable about the sport, he was a real jerk to me on a few occasions on a couple of different boards. I personally hope he develops CR and feel that he already has the affliction referenced in your last xray above. I will not have anything to do with an activity that has his name associated with it and hope that I never hear or see his pseudonym again. There is NO excuse for his behavior.

Bsmutz,
I think you will find that the D-man was offensive to EVERYONE on the board - you are really nothing special in this regard - he was an "equal opportunity curmudgeon."

In any case, I have to inform you that participation is ABSOLUTELY required for ALL AZB'ers (sorry, but you'll survive). Good luck.

P.S. - I'm sure ChefJeff will eventually weigh in; but his philosophy (and a very sound one at that) is that the DMMHT is a voyage of self-discovery that is guaranteed to give you insight into your game, and will foster a sense of community among those of us serious about AZB (which of course DOES NOT INCLUDE the ex-Drivermaker who has been banned for the behavior you describe). It really has NOTHING to do with D'maker at all, I hope this helps.

I've already posted my first session of the DRIVERMAKER Tournament. It's the cue man, It's the cue. I have GOT to get a cue.

I personally liked Drivermaker quite a lot and wish he still posted here! Can we start a petition to unban someone?!

Instant bad rep.

#1 - I don't think that if you got 99% of the active posters to sign it would convince Mike to unban DM.

#2 - I don't think DM would come back if he was unbanned.

#C - Did I mention DRIVERMAKER?!?!?!?!?

It appears that my current DRIVERMAKER average is remarkably similar to my golf average. How ironic.

In your opinion, that's fine. BUT, he was and still is loved by many on this and other forums.

DM always had a reason why he went off on someone, and was usually right when he did. So, with that being said, maybe he thought YOU were a jerk, and maybe he was right!
