Congrats on getting your Richard Black cue. Your a lucky guy to have a lady in your life that would get you a nice cue. Some women wouldn't get their man a cue, that might take you out of the house to play pool. Hopefully she has a cue too, and you both can play together. Great story behind this cue. That's Richard Black's Hustler model, back when it was in his brochures. Hasn't been for decades I believe, so wonderful gift.
 
Great cue and it sounds like you have a great girl there too. Hang on to both of them, neither comes along very often! :grin:

Love it! I myself have been thinking about a maple merry widow with a SS joint like that, I'm jealous!
 
Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I talked to Richard Black today and he told me he cannot tell me when exactly he built the cue without it being in front of him but he did say that he hasn't built any of these cues since 1993.

ZiggyLee- she plays also and has her own cues. She actually has a VERY nice custom cue on order which will be done in about four months. It's going to be a gorgeous rosewood bumper less hoppe style cue with propellor inlays.
