Has anyone ever heard of these tables? I am building a new house and have a billiards room on the main floor that is just big enough to hold a 7' table. Downstairs I have room for a 9' and a three cushion or snooker table.

I currently have a 7' Diamond and a 9' Diamond. I don't think the 7' Diamond will look great upstairs because it is a coin opp table.

I really like the looks of the Ultra Modern table on Mitchells site, but I would hate if I bought it and it played like crap! I am not even sure how much it costs, so it might be irrelevant anyway.

I was thinking of getting a 7' Diamond Paragon table for the upstairs.

The Diamond site says that the Paragon is available in 8' or 9', though it could just be out of date. If you already have a Diamond 7 and 9, I'd probably go with the Mitchell if the style is a concern. You can always hire somebody to pimp it out play-wise if you don't think it's set up well. They're in Clearwater, FL - isn't there a user or two from there?

I have worked on a few of the Mitchell tables over the years. I think they are out of site. Extreme quality and beautiful designs. Not cheap but worth every penny!

Back in the late 80's around 87 I played on a Busch team with Ed's daughter, Karen, her brother Joe would come by and play some also but just for fun, he was not into the league thing, super nice folks, the bowling alley we played Busch league at had a really nice billiard room with 8 Mitchell tables in it, I remember when they were building the tables, I had stopped in to check out the new pool room, the dad, Ed was really nice, stopped working for a few minutes and showed me how the tables were constructed, I had never seen a table being built before.

Once the room opened, me and my friends played there allot, the tables were beautiful with a gold accent band around the base with matching overhead lights, they played great, the wood rails were beautiful also.

The showroom is just down the street from my house, but I have not seen them in many years, bottom line is it is a local family owned business with great attention to detail:grin-square:.

Thanks for the info on these tables.

Unfortunately it is all for nothing as I found out that the table that I like is $42,900 + Delivery and Setup!!!

I think I will stick to Diamond tables.
