I picked up this cue to play while my other Olney was getting some work done. It's absolutely fantastic but after getting my original Olney back I just can't seem to give up on it after our 5 year relationship so it's staying in my player slot for now. Plus I have a 4-pointer on order with Jeff that I'll have to pay for soon, so it's time to pass this one on to someone who needs a killer playing cue.
Jeff Olney 4-pointer with snakewood points, ebony but sleeve with nice gold MOP inlays, nice rings all around, and comes in right at 15.05oz for the butt. Great condition, does have one small finish scratch at the joint but it's very minor. Nice clean and even point work This is also probably the most perfectly straight butt I've ever laid my eyes on.
#1 shaft is 13mm and 4oz with micarta ferrule and Kamui tip and it's a perfect fit from Jeff. Unplayed and straight.
#2 shaft came to me a little oversize at the joint somehow so I sent it to Ryan at Rat cues and he turned it down to match the butt and took down the thickness a little so I believe it's around 12.8 now, but I don't have digital calipers that are working. It's good now but not quite as seemless a fit as the #1 shaft. This shaft was played before I sent it in but I haven't played it since I got it back (I've been playing my other Olney cue). 3.9oz. Straight.
I don't know where else you'll find a quality 4-pointer with snakewood and gold mother of pearl inlays and nice ringwork for a price anywhere near this. I'm taking into account the work done on the shaft and pricing it lower accordingly. Not looking to trade, only sell. SOLD
