When I think of a Mike Bender Cue I think of the Ring Work, and Inlay Work that has made Mike a Famous & in Demand Builder. This to me is not typical of what I PERSONALLY expect to see from Mr. Bender...

Mike

That cue is awesome dude. An affordable way to get a great cue by a great cue maker. No better way to spend $1200 in my opnion.

Why are you crapping on someone else's offering?

I think its really nice looking and if i had the $$$$$ i would buy it immediately, in my opinion its alot better looking than the "other players cue" offered here a while back taht came under fire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
Best of luck with the sale sir...............:)

I understand totally, kind of like a southwest satin, no ringwork or points and one shaft but it is 5-600. I think for 1200 it should have his standard ringwork at the joint and buttcap, if you want it above and below the wrap that should be separate...just my .02

I agree with you and if I bought a Bender cue it would have to have 2 shafts. I would worry too much about having a shaft problem in a match and not having a back up shaft. It's a nice cue if you like cues with points and no veneers and I know from experience that Bender cues play well.

Fit and finish of the cue looks nice. Inlay work, nice looking shaft wood, ivory ferrule, Moori tip, and obviously a real nice piece of bird's eye for the nose. For the money, IMO this gives the $2000-ish Scruggs 'phantom' the 7.

BENDER CUE

You can get a second shaft but it costs $250 more.. You can add Lizard wrap, but its $250 more.. You can have veneers but thats $300 more..

This cue was made for someone who wants to be in a pretty nice Bender cue.. brand new.. not wait 5 years from mike and not have to pay $1500 or more..

Its not a conversion from a blank..It's Mikes points..Mikes inlays.. Ivory and silver inlays and Ivory ferrule and Ivory ringwork..

Maybe you did not understand my comments JAZZ, I was “CRAPPING anything just making a Comment about the offering not being Typical For Mike Bender.

Bender is know for Five point Cue

Recutt points

Embellishment in his cues

and LAST Stunning Ringwork

What I call typical Mike Bender Cues can be found by Clicking Here----->>>> http://www.indyq.com/custom/bender/index.html

Apparently Mike Bender is also as of late doing some Simple Cue, that are not his Typical work....Hope I cleared up your misinterpretation of my Post....

Your inexperience leads you to make negative comments about things you know nothing about, and you dont realize your opinions are "crappy" and not needed.

Can't We All Just Get Along?

I don't know if it's this countrywide heatwave that is making everyone a bit cranky or what?!

Look....the pricing on Benders, as well as a few other cuemakers is on the rise. That is because they have built a solid reputation for being a 'players' cue. As of late, Mike has been doing some AMAZING cues...all fancy and high-end. I feel that this is a great opportunity for those who cannot afford to get into one of Mike's higher end cues to still get that Bender playability in a more affordable package. And, it's not a bad looking cue, either.

Mike (spanky981) is just trying to showcase some of the newest offerings coming out of the Bender shop. I, for one, appreciate seeing some of the offerings that he is able to get, because they are always interesting, and often serious eye candy.:D

Can we please let our fellow AZBer's post their offerings, at whatever pricing they choose, without all the negative commentary? If you don't like what is being offered, or the pricing, then move on. This directed at no one in particular, as I am sure I have been guilty at some point of this myself.....I believe my transgression was when the very first Cochoran cue was posted by JP. I felt bad about it after I did it, and have never done it since.

We here are very, very fortunate to have so many wonderful cues offered in one place....it's the best 'one stop shopping' on the net, IMHO. And often, the pricing of these offerings are very attractive, too. If we continue as the current trend is going....we are not going to get these many different offerings anymore....and that would truly be a shame. Let's just let our fellow AZBer's do their thing, that's what the 'Wanted/For Sale' Forum is all about.

Mike, I'm sorry if I hijacked your thread a bit, but I felt it needed to be said. Now I am stepping back down off my soapbox...Lol.;) :)

Wow!!!!

Poolslueth, Mike Bender probably has more 5 pointed players cues out there with ladder ringwork than any other styled cue. This cue is right inline with what he has done a ton of. In my IMO one hell of a price. I did'nt know Mike Bender would touch the lathe for less than 1,500. My IMO Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101

Negative Comment I think not, I was making a comment based upon the Bender Cue have seen in Person (2), and Photos of many Bender Cues I have seen on the Web. What I said was:

"When I think of a Mike Bender Cue I think of the Ring Work, and Inlay Work that has made Mike a Famous & in Demand Builder. This to me is not typical of what I PERSONALLY expect to see from Mr. Bender..."

I did not attach you are you Cue, so I see ZERO REASON for you to Attack me. Part of living in America is the right to be a free thinker, and have reasonable freedom of speech.

Anyone wishing to discuss this subject further please feel free to PM me as I will be more than happy to reply...

But sometimes through typing peoples intentions come out different thaen if you were to make the same statement while on the phone. My IMO Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101

Thank you Arron I was not trying to as you say "crap" on his sale, just make a comment based upon my experience.

My buddy has a Bender it is Butt and Forearm are Amboyna Burl to kill for. The Forearm is Plane, the Butt has Gold Colored Metal and Ivory inlays, and The Ringwork is out of this World.

Another Not typical Bender as it is not the 5, 10, 15, 20 Recutt pointer or any Pointer that is like a Bender Trademark...But very Unique...
