This was the final of the event, the entire week all came down to this game. Caudron had a big lead (9 pt) , Blomdahl caught on and took the lead by one point. Later the score tied up at 39-39. Perhaps Bob or other experts can decribe the scene better here :)

Here are some of Blomdahl's shot diagrams from the final, These were drawn from the last row of the general audience seat and I tried to be as accurate as possible.

The final phase of the tournament was a round robin of ten players. Going into the last set of matches, Caudron was leading with a 6-2 record, while Blomdahl had a 5-3 record. If Blomdahl won the match, they would be tied at 6-3 and a play-off would be required (only played for 1st-2nd ties). It might have been possible for another player to match the 6-3 record, but he would have been third on average, and so not in the playoff. To win first, Blomdahl needed back-to-back wins over Caudron. First and second prizes were about $12750 and $10200. Caudron also got $450 or so for the high run of 20.

Thanks Bob :) Here is a slightly more complete shot by shot stories of that game, including 2 of Caudron's 2 short runs in the beginning which helped for his big lead. Blomdahl then caught up in a matter of a few innings. Very exciting game to watch in person.:p
