Is there any bolt that i can buy at a hardware store to use on my drill to clean my shaft if there is what is the size. Or do i have to buy an actual male pin that is uniloc Predator/ Lucasi Uni loc

How about something that's plastic and kinda schmooshes itself into the hole? Or how about something that somehow grabs the outside of the shaft?

Let us know, please.

You might be able to find something that can grab the outside of the shaft without damaging it but I don't no what would work off hand. Also, just using a correct threaded pin may still damage the internal threads in the shaft as it is designed for the shaft to only go in a certain depth that is regulated by the joint. A drive pin, made expressly for spinning shafts, is made with a false joint so that the pin only goes in to the proper depth. Atlas sells them for 50.00 I believe.

Someone posted a picture of this a few years ago and I made one for a similar application. Take an arbor and mount a rubber crutch tip on it. Chuck this up in your drill/lathe and press-fit the shaft in the crutch tip to spin and clean. I put a piece of table cloth in the bottom of the crutch tip to protect the joint collar on the shaft from rubbing up against the hardware used to mount the tip to the arbor.

A good "generic" tool that will work with almost any shaft, regardless the thread size/pitch.

JUST USE A JOINT PROTECTOR!

shoot a screw through the JP backwards so it sticks out the top of the jp and then chuck the screw end into the drill.. should work great..
