Since England has voted to leave the EU today ... will England players be eligible to play for Team Europe. ?????

Should be interesting for Sky Sports to come up with a solution

Europe, the continent, still exists in all respects unrelated to the trade and economic union voted on recently.

It's the same as if Canada decided to exclude themselves from NAFTA... They would still be Canada and they'd still be in North America.

In short, Brexit should have zero effect on Mosconi Cup team eligibility.

Dallas worded it pretty darn good.

Would be a little tougher to beat you without guys like Darren and Mark Gray but we would manage I'm sure.

That's a fair question!
However, England will still remain a physical part of Europe. Same as Switzerland - also not part of the EU but located in the heart of Europe.

BTW: Even Turkey and Russia play for the European Soccer Championship (with most of their land mass beeing on the Asian side).

Let's see is Scotland remains a part of the UK. :-)

Given Matchroom is a British company (right?), they would field an all UK team to show on Sky Sports before having a team without any.

They could fall back on a team of Daz, Shaw, Melling, Gray, and that twat Boyes. How'd they do?!

You wonder how people don't know the difference between Europe and the EU....

Then ya see this!!

Exactly....

It will cost more for the European team.......the US dollar exchange rate will become even more favorable.

Logical that this shouldn't matter, but you forget this is about POLITICS not geography. The EU and its member countries will be taking all sorts of revenge against the British in trade, migration, monetary policy, etc., in the aftermath of the Brexit. I wouldn't be surprised if various international sporting activities took some hits in some form as well.

Oh, one other interesting little quirk: when the European team plays in the Mosconi Cup they play under the flag the European Union, not the flag of a geographical Europe, but under the flag of the EU. Certainly English players will no longer be allowed to play under that flag.

They should play for the country they live in most of the year .... Want to live here then you should throw your name in the hat and play here also . USA

JMHO

I would think by proximity alone, the UK will always be considered part of the European continent..Their political leanings can't change that..Of course that will surely depend on how Mr. Barry Hearne looks at it!

Yeah, Britain is pretty much North Korea now. I hear Donald Trump is dropping out as the Republican nominee to head on over to Jolly ole England so he can help them out in their time of need. Taking over for a few decades until things are properly settled.

Cheers mates!
Tally-ho!
I'm right chuffed, with knobs on!

The UK is leaving the EU....not Europe. Come on guys. If the US leaves NAFTA it's still in North America.

Tom Storm played for Europe in the 1994 event. Sweden did not join the EU until 1995.

Nothing to see here - please move along!
