Hi All,

This is a chance to own a piece of billiard history.

I recently visited Bob and he said he wanted to sell his personal table, so I am posting this table for sale on behalf of Robert (Bob) Byrne, the renown billiards author and player.

SOLD

Thanks for looking,
Dave

Thanks, Dean. If there is someone looking for a 9' table and is in the region to be able to pick it up, it would be a great deal and story for sure.

Bob sure has a great sense of humor.

Dubuque isn't that far from Chicago...there has to be someone there looking for such a deal.

Hey, Bus driver, does this bus go to Dubuque? No, it goes toot da toot.

In addition to a tremendous amount of provenance, $1500 for the table is a great deal, beautifully maintained.

Hi All,

This is a chance to own a piece of billiard history.

I recently visited Bob and he said he wanted to sell his personal table, so I am posting this table for sale on behalf of Robert (Bob) Byrne, the renown billiards author and player. He and his wife live in Dubuque, IA and have owned this table for many years (they are not sure of the model). If anyone is a serious buyer, simply message me and I will provide their contact info to begin working directly with them (he and his wife).

From Bob: Lee Simon thought $1,500 is more than a fair price, but we'd take best offer if someone would pick it up and remove the hassle of doing that for us. The table is an Olhausen and it's 4.5' x 9'. Like new. Leather pockets. Includes balls (I believe they are Centennials).

I'm sure the buyer can talk Bob into including a signed book or DVD if you ask nicely, as well as a letter of authenticity that Bob owns/owned it. :)

Thanks for looking,
Dave

Dave,

What a great thread, and a real opportunity for billiard history. With the extras that go with the table (centennials, etc)
along with the opportunity just to see, meet and interact with such an icon would be of lasting personal value.

I have a Gold Crown 1 at my home that I have owned for 44 years, and also just recently completed a 100 point restoration
of a Brunswick 9-foot six leg table, so just have no more table room.

Heck, his book contains this much billiard knowledge value!
My highest recommendation for this opportunity..
