Nice to see an old survivor.

Yup, about the nicest one I've ever seen. Most have dark forearms (that don't match the brochure scan) and cracked checkerboard inlays. Nice cue!
Best example of the Meucci "Chess" cue I've ever seen...beautiful cue. Wonder who or what inspired the theme for Bob to have that cue made?

When he first started didn't he work with Paul Huebler? Huebler made a lot of Chess Cues, maybe one inspired the other.

Bob has been building cues since the early sixty's, B.M.C mid sixty's, National chalk 1968 where he made
the wico blanks which nobody else could do, worked for Huebler 1974 - 1975 when he started Meucci originals.
Dates might not be perfect but they are close. I think Bob made the chess cue first, Hueblers chess cue sold
for 800.00 bucks according to the blue book. Bob's was 215.00
In this thread poolcrazy has pictures and a brief explanation of the early Meucci cues that were made in the Huebler shop.
It is the Meucii QB series and had a sticker.
