The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour has secured sponsorship monies for up to 10 Professional Players from local area sponsors to compete in the $25,000 Viking Cue 9-Ball Tours National Championships November 15-19, 2006.

These sponsorships are available on a 1st to respond basis.

Any male or female professional pool player should immediately contact Mike Janis at 1-800-200-POOL to take advantage of this offer.

Just talked to Danny (Kid Delicious) Basavich. He will be playing in the Viking Tour Nationals again this year.

In the past Delicious has won numerous Viking Tour events including a 117 player field at the $5,000 Added Regional Championships that was held at Cornfed Red's Billiard Cafe in Columbus, OH 2 years ago.

Tony Crosby, Tammie Jones, Gerry Watson, Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant and Cory Deuel will also be taking advantage of this offer.

One of the best choices IMO. Stevie is a class act and I thought he played great at the US Open this year.

Stevie plays in most of our big events. It's not confirmed but I'm sure he will be playing in this event.

it will have to start at 10 PM on Friday night and play until 6 in the morning. Those left for the second day will come back at 10 on Saturday. The calcutta will be conducted at Nowhere bar. Entry fee is three tall boys and a round of shots.
 
If you can't find 10 pros, and have a spot available, you can sponsor me and consider me as the AZ player rep for the weekend. I'd consider a 30/70 split. It might pay for our cocktails for the weekend :D .

Speaking of cocktails, are you going to put on a repeat performance in Athens like you did last year. I'd like to see you grinning from ear to ear and napping under the pool table again :D :eek: :D .

I'm looking forward to defending my consumption title in Athens again this year. Now all I need is a formidable opponent and a co-director so I can sleep in on Sunday.

I will take the Viking Tour consumption challenge you speak of. If I remember correctly we had to twist your arm to get you off the chain, but you came through quite admirably. I will gladly buy the first couple of rounds of shots with the condition that you and Mike T. give the first 2 toasts. So you have a couple of weeks to come up with some witty banter.

Mike, I definately wont be taking the bike and right now I am trying to find a designated driver.

I remember last year leaving the club and taking a nap in someones car. Thankfully they showed me true southern hospitality because I didn't know the owner of the car and they were kind enough to drop (roll me out) at the front door of the club when they left.

Hopefully my DD will keep better eye on me this year.

Steve, the Athens event would be the one to come to. Mailnly because it will have both OPEN and AMATEUR events on the same weekend at the same location.

Additionally, this is the very 1st Viking Cue AMATEUR 9-Ball Tour event in the South. Which by no coincidence is being held at the exact same location as the very 1st Viking Cue Open 9-Ball Tour event that was ever held South of the Mason Dixon Line.
