All the talk about what it takes to be able to tell what is a good hitting stick, and how much better this cue hits then any other cue he's ever owned made me start to wonder.
I wonder now that this guy who regularly runs 11's and 13 packs (yeah 13 straight racks of nine ball) how many must he be able to run now???
Hey Nick with your new super cue please run a test and let me know how many racks you're up to now?
I'm betting it must be good for at least 15-17 racks now.

Jim <---can't wait to hear, anyone know what the world record is?

I believe OFFICIALLY Bob Vanover has the record of 10 racks.
Jay Halfert iirc said it was done on a pro-8 table though.
Sure Archer, Feijen and Earl have ran more but Bob's is the official record I THINK.
The best hitting stick is my bocote sneaky. I have me as a witness.

Only did it when I was in stroke Jimbo!

I never take a whole month off any more from work any more Jimbo. I just get to fat and the 25-30 pounds just don't come off like they used to. I have done what I have done. I will find it hard to ever find the time or energy to play like that ever again. I was playing with a five veneer Scruggs cue that had 12 ivory inlays that was made in 92 at the time.
I do like this cue better!
I just sold my Ivory joint Scruggs radial pin Hoppe cue that was given to me basicly for 9 ball lessons delivered in June.
This might be the only cue that could have ever gotten that thing out of my hands.
I want to thank you for your wit. Most entertaining. I answered you subjectivity question. I really didn't want to. Answer for me this , is your birthday July first?
And I say good luck to you and when I post pics of which case to keep it in a Engals black leather or brownish red Centenial I hope you will tell me the magic case too!
One other thing Scottie and Rick were known to be able to run the string in tournament play. Scottie went 3 or four rounds in wninning one of his world championchips on a bar table just running the set out. I would think that is at least 45 racks of nineball! I might be off by a couple games though!
And That is shootin man!

exaggerate!

From reading Nick's posts I think he tends to exaggerate, everything.
But I think you already knew this.
Dont let it bother you.

The more I think about it Scottie had 4 or 5 sets in a row that he broke and ran! It should be easy to document. They occured in the bar table world championships that he won!
I actaully down played what Scotttie did. And that is why he was world champ on a bar table!

Don't be so modest....I heard you were also blindfolded:D

Really

I think Scottie did it for $40,000!! But I am not sure if that was first place see I say when I am not sure. He won and he put down 4 or 5 opponents that never saw the table in a row. If you can't believe it you never saw Scottie when all systems were go! That is him smiling on the forums page!
Here are some reasons I don't consider myself much of a player they are all local players! Or have been at one time or another!
John Schmidt
Scottie Townsend
Rick Howard
David Broxon
Cliff Joiner
Wade Crane
Pablo Mathews
All these players live and play within a hour of here or used to. That is some monster action!

is eleventy billion bigger than 13? Cause Nick ran 13. A whole bunch of times. That's super good!

If you live near 1PRoscoe it's "Hey Sis role over"

Jim
And for Jimbo, of course, it would be, "That is $50 more?!?!?

fyi -

role = We are going to role play today
roll = to turn over, push a ball, etc.
