Dear IPT Player,

You can pop the champagne! I am pleased to announce that we have
successfully concluded our negotiations relating to the funding of the IPT.
The final documents are being finalized at this very moment. We will be
signing on Monday. This means that player checks for the World Open will be
issued within seven-to-ten days or sooner! Thank you again for your patience
and understanding during this business transaction.

The Ho Interactive acquisition negotiations and documents should be
finalized by the end of next week. A formal announcement will be made upon
conclusion of the transaction. We anticipate announcing shortly additional
major sponsors for the 2007 season as well as additional broadcasting
contracts with major television companies in several international markets.
I will update you again on Monday with more definitive news! We are here to
stay and continue to go forward building the largest international pool
organization the world has ever seen. Many more good-news surprises are on
the horizon. Have a great weekend.

How is it this guy can say so much and mean so little? 7-10 days or sooner, maybe by the end of next week? You have to admit, as a BS artist, this guy is in a league of his own. Whether or not the players will be paid I don't know, but reading Trudeau's messages will give you a 3 Darvon headache.
 
Congrats if this is true!, and I humbly eat crow, though I never officially said "The IPT is over".:D I still think KT is a dick and I'm glad that he's removing himself from the IPT. Hopefully Ho will be great for the support.

And I agree, this thread will get flamed. This was my immediate reaction in the other thread we were talking Linda.

If you read this latest announcement closely, the 2nd paragraph seems to contradict the 1st.....the word final and finalized is being used repeatedly but with different time frames.....talk about spinning .......and what is the bottom line? We have to wait at least 7-10 more days for the announcement of the FINAL FINAL deal's completion?

....and there's that word SHOULD again in the 2nd paragraph......anyway, Linda I hope you're right and this latest announcement really means success...

The first paragraph has to do with funding the IPT. It does NOT state the source of the funding. It does state that the checks will be issued within 7 to 10 days (I wonder when they will be sent?)

The 2nd paragraph has nothing to do with the 1st...IMO

Signing Monday,10-23-06 I ASSUME with regards to "funding".

Checks will be issued (mailed, I ASSUME) 7 to 10 days (or sooner) after that.

Would we feel warmer and fuzzier if we saw an announcement from the HO camp?;)

I guess they figure that if they're not going to pay the players, the least they can do is feed 'em a lil sumtin and carrots are good for you... falls right into KT's natural cure book about eating healthy foods. ;)

My take is....
A) Yeah, what wahcheck said.

B) KT has yet again managed to use a lot of words to say very little.

Ultimately, the deal is NOT final so this was yet again another announcement about an announcement. As for popping the champagne... I think the players that went out & bought high dollar items after Reno, thinking that they were going to get paid would advise everyone not to celebrate just yet.
 
Yeah, pop the champagne, and chug down half the bottle before you proceed. Weasle-words always go down better with a high blood alcohol content.

Where did you see that K%&T was removing himself from the ITP?

That would, IMHO, be a positive step.

I guess you're right....I was assuming all negotiating was being done with Ho Interactive.....there I go, assuming again......I am still scratching my head over what is really happening though......

He's not, he will be staying at the helm for 5 years.

IMO, what this says is: that we are done negotiating for the money to fund the IPT (to hopefully be used to pay the players) and now that we are done talking, on Monday we will actually sign the paperwork (this could be loan documentation or any of a number of things) and then after that in a week or so the players checks will be cut. As I said earlier, it does not say when the checks will be mailed.

Am I not reading this correctly?
 
FTR, I would like to say that I hope it is true and I hope that the IPT continues so that the players can make their $100K salaries. If this is just another sack of crap he's tossing onto the mountain of lies he's created in his lifetime, it can only work in the favor of those that actually care about the game of pool. I woud strongly caution all of the players not to play in Chicago without first having the money guaranteed in writing. If you guys proceed to play without that guarantee, you are making your own bed and you will have to sleep in it. Be smarter than that, and hold him accountable for his promises. Without the players he has no tour, not the other way around.

Maybe it would be a positive step and maybe not. Considering that Kevin Trudeau is the only reason the IPT has even existed and any good that has come from it he is mainly responsible for. If the deal being discussed does go through then he is primarily responsible for it also.

If it wasn't for Kevin Trudeau there wouldn't even be a International Pool Tour thread and nobodys negative comments would even exist because there would be no thread to post them on.
