Posting rumors really does not help anyone...as far as I'm concerned it is still on unless we OFFICIALLY hear something to the contrary.

While I agree that unsubstantiated rumors can be bad, let's be honest. We've heard plenty from Trudeau, that I would assume to be "official" statements. I'd like to have believed, at some point, that the words coming from the founder of the IPT would be assumed "official".
But what do we know thus far? Trudeau has fed us all kinds of garbage, dangling the proverbial carrot. But it seems that, in the past 1-1/2 months, nothing he said has been correct. In fact, he has been caught in a flat-out lie, with the whole thing about Fed-Ex and Saturday delivery and all that BS.
So again, while rumors can be just that, the fact is that with Trudeau, we don't know what to believe anymore. At this point, I'm more inclined to believe Eydie than KT. So while I am still hopeful that this IPT thing will continue, at this point, I would probably be more shocked if the IPT lived than died. I agree that we (the pool world) all lose if the IPT dies, but unfortunately, the telltale signs have been there for awhile now. I think many people, myself included, drank the Trudeau Kool-aid. I wanted to believe in it. I always hoped the IPT could catch on with ESPN or something...for pete's sake, the spelling bee and Scrabble are on ESPN. But now...I can only hope I'm wrong.

As of 9:15 this morning, I have not heard peep 1 from anyone at the IPT. Yes, it is NOT OFFICIAL I have stated that over and over and over.
I have just reported what I have been told, I am the messenger. I have not stated in anyway whatsoever that this is official. It is a head's up to what may or may not happen.
I would rather be prepared than out in the cold.

It's amazing what a "different world" AZB is than the real one. I was speaking to an IPT top 150 player just last night, and he was still high on the latest bit of "good news" from KT, and was upbeat about being paid in "7-10 days". Seeing this news this morning really drives home the seriousness of the letdown these remaining hopeful players will experience if the whole thing folds.
