Just a reminder to all damaged, lost, and lost and refound mail does happen. This money order was mailed to me priority mail on AUG 4th. I got it yesterday. Definately looks like it got caught in the machinery somewhere. Only took 11 weeks. It was stamped "delivered damaged"
Bummer the deal was cancelled. :( Maybe if it still cashes, I'll send him the cue. Actually I think he already got a refund for the money order. I already sent back the form stating I never got the MO. Oh well!

USPS is a Joke...........

Priority Mail even with delivery confirmation is an absolute joke.
It is not a tracking device at all but only used for exactly what it says.
Pay the little extra (if any) and use FedEx or UPS and it is scanned and is trackable every time it is touched in the system.
I know too many people that work in USPS system and hear too stories about things be lost and mishandled in that system. It's run by our gov.....what else would you expect. Thier losing money and cutting back....going to raise rates again soon.

Disclaimer............just my 3 cents worth of opinion.

That's pretty unusual. I generally have pretty good luck with USPS Priority Mail, but to paraphrase the ad campaign, "If it absolutely, positively has to be there" I use Fed-Ex.

I had a similar experience when I recieved a birthday card from my sister in June (my birthday is in October). It's even worse than that: the card said "Happy 30th". I was 35 by the time I got the card!!!!! Five years late!!! What a world, what a world...

Johnny Carson: You know why they're raising the price of stamps? They need more signs that say, 'This Window Closed.'

I once mailed a guy a check on our second transaction and i already had the goods-Normally it would take 2 days for the check to get there. He called me daily after the third day and i am telling him " the check is in the mail."

Somehow the guy never doubted me but around day 8 or so, i got some cash and drove down there and gave it to him. Somewhere around day 21, he got the check-the envelope was all dirty and twisted. Anyway i was glad he knew i wasnt pulling a move.

The exact same thing happened to me in reverse and i came within a hair of saying' "Look you thievin *****, if i dont get my money......." Somehow i held back and the check arrived postmarked 3 weeks previous, mailed just when she said. This finally taught me a lesson and now i wait for irrefutable evidence that someone is cheatin me before i go off like a lunatic.

special handling

That sucks. I would think priority mail w/delivery confirmation would get better handling

Yep, he paid $4.55 for that special handling. Fortunately there was no merchandise exchanged, so all it cost me was the sale. But, this is a prime example of why one should not ship until funds are recieved.

Priority?

Talk about the US Postal System! They were suposed to be getting me a cue through Express Mail, next day delivery. Guess how long it took? Two weeks! I was out of the country when it finally got delivered. Becuse I wasn't here to accept delivery, they sent it back! Just another scam to get around the refund if it doesn't get delivered in time. I had to have it shipped a second time, at least they did not charge me a second time for the additional insurance coverage, whoopeee!
