Well, I lost to a kid 12 years old.

He was making balls left and right, and I was so shocked I could not make a single ball (not that I am any better when I am not shocked...:) )

What is the youngest player whom you have lost to?

That would be a 14-year-old Nicholas Schulman.

The youngest person I've lost to is 15 years old. It was a league match and we played 2 games. To my defense, I had the first break and came up dry and he ran out. Loser breaks the second game, and I came up dry again only to watch him run out. :)

At the time I believe he was 13...Adam Pendley from Hickory. I don't feel too bad...he beat Earl in the finals of an event as well. He may be 15 now...the world will hear from this youngster. Fearless...bets high...and simply does not miss. When you finally come to the table you better be prepared to kick/jump a ball in, and then answer with 5 or 6 consecutive racks or you simply can't compete.

A young Corey Duel. He came to a local tournament in Philly with Bob Maidoff. (sp) not sure how old he was but he could barely reach over the table.. I put up a good fight...but he beat me. BTW .. it ended up Bob and Corey for the finals. Corey won the hill hill match.. I think Bob may have let him win. bob missed what seemed to be a easy 7 ball. Corey ran out for the win. He was REALLY good.. even at that young an age

I lost to ten year old, don't remember his name, but I can still remember that smirk on his face.

I was 14, working in the "Midget" game room in the New York City Boy's Club.

But it wasn't a fair match, he was the best player there, had a little bench to stand on, and everytime his cueball was on the rail got to move it away by the width of the cue butt.

Was Efren a member of the Boy's Club back then?

I lost to my younger brother when he was 13 years old, short race to five with alternating breaks. To this day if we play winner breaks longer races I usually will come out on top, but once in a while he gives me a run for my money.

I lost to Landon Shuffett for the first time about a year ago at Diamond Billiard Club. I think he was 12 at the time, but he may have been 11. I didn't feel too badly, though. Cliff Joyner lost to him the match before I did.

I lost to my 8-year-old cousin 5 or 6 racks in a row once. Then again, I was only 9. Somehow I'm thinking this wasn't the intent of the question :p

y'all might not want to believe this, but I (among several other adults) have lost to a 5 year old !.... this kid is tough with a capital "T".... short for his age, he can barely see above the table, doesn't stand on a box or anything...
his break is magnificent; breaks one handed, using the head rail for his bridge ... Sam W. has won one or two rounds in local tournaments, shows (or knows) no fear & frankly scares the hell out of me. What's he gonna be like when he's 10 or 12.

I've been trying to get someone to film this kid (with his parents permission, of course) and send it to some national group. Sam may just be the poster boy to give professional pool a new direction/shot in the arm that is needed.

I've seen this kid bank out to win games,,, trying to convince him to use a bridge stick, haven't yet convinced him, though,,, tourney before last, he ran six balls in a row to win his match,,, his percentages on a cheese-ball combo are astronomical (or at least way better than mine).

strange as it seems he can be drawing with crayons one minute and pocketing the 9-ball the next..... don't know what to make of him; heck I never saw a pool table 'til I was a senior in H. S.

I recall a while back (Summer of 2001) playing on Coin-Op Tables and I played a certain youngster; eight years old or so. He kindly asked to play me and in my mind, I was like... "Ok kid.." assuming that he didn't have any skills. Turns for the worse that he was pretty decent (close to where my status was). He knew how to bridge with his hands as well as having a decent stroke. His dad was around with his son and he told me that he will hit it big someday. His name is Christan Downs (I might have the last name wrong). If he is around the McAllen area, I wish him the best and that I'm rooting for this young blood.

There is a 13 year old around here. We call him junior. He beat a former BCA Amatuer Masters champion 4-1 in the last major tournament I played in. Better watch out.

I lost to Dennis Hatch down in ST Pete, FL. I think he was 16. He had his dad with him. Johnnyt

Girls CAN play!

I lost a Straight Pool game to a (then) 15 year old girl.:o She was a MONSTER! She ran balls left, right, and center, at will. I will never forget the shock of that experience.
Her name?...........Jean Balukas:cool:

Lost to a 12 year old girl....Lizzy Lovely. No fear, hill-hill she just ran the 9-ball rack out.

I lost playing 8 ball to a 14 year old kid in a CAST! All the way up his shooting arm. He went on to beat my good friend in the finals and won the tournament. Put the $60 or whatever towards a truck when he turned 15.

Now he's maybe 16, and he loves action like almost nobody I've seen. Every time I see him he asks to straight pool to 50 for $50!
I didn't have that kind of cash when I was that age! He's a trip.

My son beat me when he was like 6 or so. Oh, alright. I let him win.

Not too long ago he said (he's 10 now), "It's weird. My brother (my oldest son) beats me, you beat him, but I can beat you!" So I told him, "well, you might have a tougher time beating me now. I've been practicing." ;)
