Quieting a Valley table

I recently got an old valley table for my garage, and I find it to be insanely loud. I was thinking for putting some denim insulation in the table in the dead space. Has anyone tried this, and did it make much of a difference?

Do You Mean Chopped Insulation?

Speaker Cabinet Batting Would Work.
Easy to Install & Remove and No Itchy Fiberglass.

Try Pipe Insulation Tape on the Outside Sides and Outside Bottom of the Gullies.
NOT in the Track of the Gullies.

Or
At Your Local Hardware Store.

Put Sound Dampening Material on the Walls and Bottom. $$$

Use Double Side Carpet Tape to Hold the Panels in Place.

I Would Try the Sides and Inside Bottom First to Keep the Mess and Expense Down.
Doing the Gullies are Properly Not Worth Doing.

I have seen all of these solutions. All are effective. The most effective was a cabinet stuffed with high density foam.

If you use sound dampening material on the ball tracks, make sure that you put it on the underside, so as to not come into contact with the balls.. The glue that holds that stuff down will make an awful mess, otherwise.
