Bad Ipt Players Shouldn't Sue For More Than Deserve!!

For those people who had no chance to stayon IPT which is a huge number..They shouldn't try to pull some BS lawsuit stuff trying to get more than their last place checks would have been this year.........How many of these saps that lied in the first place and made a liitle bit of money they shouldn't have ever got will pull some lame excuse about how they would have done this or that and won all this...........DONT PULL IT YOU BAD PLAYERS WILL ONLY COST YOU RESPECT THAT YOU MIGHT GET FROM A FEW PEOPLE.....I know and like Helena and Monica and hope they don't try and sue for more then thay have coming from this year because realistically they couldn't stay inside the top 100........There is a whole other handful Of people that wanna believe they could have stayed on but realistically had no chance.........but dont forget KEVIN SAID POP THE CHAMPAIGN SO OF ALL OUR TALK IS GONNA BE WORTHLESS AND EVeRYONE IS GONNA MAKE 200,000 NEXT YEAR..........

What are you smoking Crack? You must be in bed with Kevin and his organization.

What is he paying you for your services? Come on be honest, ooh, I forgot for second that you work for Kevin.

Realistically allot of these people who had a dream are being screwed by Kevin and anyone who supports him, including you for making this thoughtless post. The people you mentioned above are the real losers in this entire shady affair.

The very people you choose to single out not the Pro's had to spend their savings, and other hard earned money to chase their dream they did not have sponsorship!!!!!!!!!!

Who ever or what ever you are wake up, not everyone thinks like you.

He's a cue maker.

I believe Jamie is a player. However, not an IPT player. He is as far as I know, not related to the cue maker, Mcworter. But I may be wrong, if so I stand corrected.

Different spelling. No H in Jerry McWorter, the great cue maker. He would not talk like this other fellow. Don't confuse them......

Anyone that is so ignorant as to post a statement like this, shouldnt be allowed to own a computer. How can you say that someone(despite their skill level) that EARNED money in an IPT event shouldnt pursue legal action or any other action to get their money?? If they paid their entry fees to win a qualifier or paid directly into the event, they deserve their money. And since you only have a small amount of posts on here, it does make sense that you are the person who was just banned......JASPER!

He is saying that players should sue for what they deserve, but they shouldn't try and get a larger piece of the pie. In other words, if players who had no chance of staying in the top 100 get an equal percentage of the total 2007 part of the lawsuit (the $100,000 guarantee), then given a finite settlement, they will be taking money away from the Efrens and Thorstens.

To some extent it's a valid point; he just happened to say it like an ass.

your already thinking about winning the case, "gamblers"
if anything the judge can nominate a lower amount than sued for.

it be good if the story of IPT and KT hit as many news stations as possible so that the judge will know ahead of time what is going on.

As far as the public is concerned pool players are hustlers. Should it go straight to court as the press release people will react "well even the best get hustled".

When they read that more was involved people might show some actual concern for the families involved and the international appearance of how Americans treat foreignors.

Yes KT has been in the spotlight before I could imagine he is used to this pressure. That is why using all resources available is important.

All I was trying to say is that people are going to get ridiculous saying they would have made this or that and are going to try and sue and get more than they deserve.......which are last place checks........Everyone knows what a joke this years IPT 150 LIST WAS........For example someone like Monica or Helena are good women players but there are 500 U.S. MEN that can beat them......Not to mention how many foreign men..........All I was trying to say was that I think decent players like this that got in this year but realistically would have not stayed on should only get a decet amount like another 10,000 or somethng no crazy numbers like trying to say they deserve a 100,000 cause they know they would have stayed on the IPT...........People can dream about what theycould have done but ask any player and they can tell what their chanceswere........But for someone like Dee Adkins for example he made decent cashes and would have stayed inside top 100...someone like him should get 100,00..........

Jamie, Any and all award issues will be determined by the courts, so you needn't concern yourself with that issue.

That's the beauty of the court system. If they sue, they should sue for what they they are owed and then the lawyers and the courts figure it out based on the evidence.

Cheers,

If they put together a ridiculous over blown law suit, (Won't happen their lawyers are smarter then that) it could be thrown out as being a frivolous suit. At that point KT would counter sue them for his costs that could be considerable. In Florida you can win a suit and lose at the same time. If you turn down an attempt to settle and force going to court and win, but are awarded no more then the original offer.

You can be sued for the other parties costs because their original offer was shown to be fair by the court. I had this happen to me and I got scared at the last minute and took the settlement. I have a friend who was involved in a suit with Wayne Huizenga and learned a hard lesson about going after someone with deep pockets. It cost him $40,000, Wayne Huizenga has expensive lawyers.

the content of some of these posts may help KT believe he can get away with this.

KT is the one many people have a grievance over. The scale of the dispute may be small but he hit in large numbers.

There is nothing he will see here he does not already know. Although he may get some insight. I am sure he knows now he will be able to settle this thing with little problem and save some money, it is just a matter of finding a number. None of these players are getting involved is a couple of years of court crap if they don't have to.

I think KT's main thing is to get out of the debt but keep the IPT in tact, there won't be any bankruptcy. He wants the IPT to stay alive and market his programming he already has, to do that he needs a clean company and he will have one. He may even stage a few open tournaments in the future with pretty good prize money to replenish the video library and programming. He does have the TV contacts already in place. As this moves along a picture will begin to appear as to some of his intentions. He doesn't want to crash the IPT I don't believe, but keep it alive at least in name.

The IPT as we know it is probably over but I don't think we will have heard the last of the IPT. And I predict, if they announce an open tournament in the future with say a $750,000 prize fund, the players will line up to play.

Well, you can certainly understand how I might get the impression. They both type with a very similar style and express a similar sentiment.

My apologies for the implication Jamie, but I still think this thread is purely insulting.;)

First, KT is a business man, KT is not in this for the players, he is not in this for the Video Library, and and other than the fact that the IPT makes him money, whether it crashes or not I am certain is not his concern.

From the beginning KT and his close nit associates had a business plan. This plan was based on one thing the bottom line, and as with all business men, in the event that expectations are not met within a specified time they will put on their golden parachute and jump off the plane.

To these people that is business, they are not going to be the losers, that is reserved for the people that dream and buy into the business venture.

I think that the intentions of KT and his organization may have been good in the beginning, but for what ever reason, the profit margin was not what was projected or expected, so the current situation exists.

I also think short of paying all monies owed, and honoring the agenda of the IPT, this organization is dead and under know circumstances should it be allowed to take advantage of anyone from this date forward, that would be bad business on the part of people getting screwed.

Long story short, it is time for the law suits.
