I just received this cue back from Keith Josey last week.

Keith completely refinished and signed the cue to new condition and I ordered a brand new shaft from him. I also have a matching 30 inch Predator 314 shaft reconditioned by Keith I can sell for additional $100 with the purchase of the cue ($125 sold separately). I had to take it out one day for a test drive and other than that, it's in like new condition.

SPEC:

Tip/Ferrule: Moori Medium on both shaft /not sure of ferrule
Shaft: 13mm on Josey 12.75 on Predator 314
Joint: radial pin
Forearm: beautiful birds eye maple
Rings: inlays at buttsleve
Handle: figured ebony .. most likely mascar ebony
Butt sleeve: n/a
Butt cap: n/a
Length: 58 inches with Josey shaft, 59 inches with Pred 314
Weight: 15 1/2 butt + 4 1/8 shaft = 19 5/8 oz with Josey shaft, 15 1/2 butt + 3 3/4 shaft = 19 1/4 oz with Pred 314​

Keith's website states he uses fiber phenolic ferrules...unless he has changed. I have experienced no staining to my ferrule as of yet.

Keith makes his own full splices, and there is no weight bolt in his s/p's. Makes for an incredibly solid feeling cue, with the radial pin. Closest to a one piece cue I have ever had the experience to play with. Fit and finish are top-notch...and this cue is a gorgeous example of that. Keith may not be offering this cue in the ebony option for much longer, as he feels quality ebony at a reasonable price is becoming more difficult to acquire...it may become too cost-prohibitive for him to contimue to use in the s/p's, reserving it, instead, for his higher-end cues.

I, too, own a Josey S-03 ebony s/p. The cue is a true gem, and I suspect that Jazz's cue will not disappoint either. If you like stiff, this is the cue for you!! May well be the best money you've ever spent...it was for me!

I know that mine screws on very snug...does not loosen on me at all. When mine is half way screwed on, it feels like it's all the way on...it just gets better from there! :D

I believe Jazz's description says that he had a new shaft made to go along with the Predator shaft he already had. These Josey shafts are pretty darn stiff, and the cues play amazingly well. I was taken completely by surprise with mine, and since this one is ebony as well, I can only assume it would play about the same. I am totally hooked on my cue.

I should probably let Jazz sell his own cue...Lol...but I have been on Cloud 9 since getting mine several weeks ago, and I believe in spreading the word on something I am completely happy with.

I got the cue with Pred 314 only. When I sent it to Keith Josey, I ordered a brand new shaft. I wasn't going to hit with it but Devil got a hold of me and I hit few balls with it. It's fat 13mm and fairly stiff. I got the shaft so I can offer the cue with either custom cue maker's shaft or Pred 314. It's nice choice to have.

My price is definitely less than directly from Keith without any wait time.

I also have a very fancy Josey that I am keeping - also just refinished to perfect condition.

Keith and his wife are very very nice folks and a delight to work with.

So, you are offering the cue with just the predator shaft?
 
No .. I prefer to sell with Josey shaft and then give the buyer the choice to buy the Pred 314 for another $100 but Butt + Pred shaft is $575

There is currently at least a 3 month wait for the fancy s/p's from Keith. And this cue with one standard Josey shaft from Keith is more than what Jazz is asking here...and since the butt has been refinished and there is a brand spanking new shaft, this is basically as new a cue as you can get without ordering one direct from Keith. The extra Predator shaft is a bonus for a few dollars more. Plus, he is picking up shipping. :D

Prince actually wrotes alot of songs for other bands.. from what i heard, he wrote all kinds of hit and award winning songs for other artist..
