Waldo, do You know If Harold's still building Cues By any chance? I met Him one time when I was playing in the apa reginal up there. Nice guy, He showed me some of his work, and pulled out a beautifull cue he had just finished at the time that had inlays running through the butt, and into the shaft. He gave me his contact info, but have since lost it, and wondering if he's still building. seems like his family built furniture or something if I remember correctly.

Greg, when you coming down? I really don't know Harold more then talking to him on the phone. Last time I talked to him he was building a new house and shop I think. He invited us to come up for a visit when he was done. I don't have his number anymore I will call a few friends I have in Jacksonville that know him and see if they have it.

This cue I have for sale has a story behind it. The short of it: He made it for a friend never gets paid for it so his friend had some problems pawned it. I bought it from the pawn shop used it for awhile tried to sell it will no luck (I like cues with wraps)Got in contact with Harold and found out the story on it now the cue is not for sale I will keep it to play with. I come to work one day and the guy working sold the cue to someone:mad: He got the money I was asking for it at the time.

Two years later a customer/friend calls me about a butt of a cue he found in the trash down south 1hr from Daytona he brings it in and it is the same cue no shaft. He doesn't want to buy a shaft for it so I buy the butt back and put a predator shaft on it. I want to sell it again and see if it comes back if it does I'm keeping it. I will have to put a wrap on it as I still don't like to play with a cue without a wrap.

Well one thing about Me is I don't get out much, but still plan on coming down when I get a chance. Last sunday was the first time I've even played any in over 2 months:(

He had invited Me over also, but that was some time ago, proof I don't get out much. Meeting Him had actually partially inspired Me to take things to another level. Before that I was just doing basic repair. Can't remember If his house was in the works at the time, but think He mentioned being located in the industrial part of town and working in a fenced in warehouse or something. I may be wrong, but seems like he may have mentioned sleeping there also. He seemed like a good guy from what I could tell, and openly shared some of his knowledge.
I was invited to play in the masters league up there, and probably would have run into him again, but I just did'nt have the time to make It up there each week to attend.:(

Wow That's one heck of a story on that cue, sounds like a magnet the way it keeps coming back to You:D sounds like you should hold on to it to me too. Also sounds like someone may have been upset and broke the shaft. I see that all the time. Had one guy that smashed a shaft every couple of months:rolleyes: :p they were laminated also, so they were'nt cheap to replace.;) He smashed a schon one time also, and had Me order him another one. as far as I know he still has that one though. He just threw them in the trash also, and i kept telling him when you do that save what's left for Me, and everytime they went into the trash. Must be nice to throw that kind of money around.:p

Thanks for the info, when ever I'm finally able to come down Your way I'll make sure I give you fair warning, and email or call in advance to let you know. hope things have been going well down there for you guys. Looks Like My whole problem here is going to be making enough cues to satisfy everyone that wants one. Just not enough time in the day it seems.
