Hiya Guys,

SOLD!!!!

As part of my Black Boar quest, I'm selling off a few cues. More listings will come down the pipe...but wanted to start it off with a real BANG!! :) :)

I just recently took delivery of this cue from Rick Phillippi here in Maryland. Really nice guy, by the way....and very easy going man to talk to.

Here's the intel on the cue:

-58" long.
-Weight is just a tiny, iddy-biddy hair over 20 oz. 16 oz buttsection, one shaft at 4 oz, and the other at 4.1 oz.
-One shaft has an Aegis ferrule and Le Pro tip
-One shaft has an Ivory ferrule and Le Pro tip
-Both shafts right around 13mm
-Cocobola forearm and buttsleeve
-4 Ebony points with veneers of orange, black, yellow, and black
-3/8x10 flat faced joint pin in old-school canvas-based phenolic joint
-4 ivory tiffany diamonds in buttsleeve
-Micarta dash ringwork at A and B positions
-White decorative band at C and E positions
-White Delrin buttcap
-Black Boar hide wrap
-Signed "Phillippi" on forearm, between 2 points

Cue is straight, sound, and perfect. It's a gorgeous piece of work.

This cue has some history, too. With it, I'm including the 1993 documentation from Healthware Fitness and Billiards, Inc. (of Joel Hercek fame). This paperwork includes a letter written to a dealer and signed by Mr. Hercek, as well as a photosheet of 16 cues (the Phillippi cue is #1), a 1993 price list (which has a Burton Spain cue listed for &600, too!!!), and a couple receipts. One is for the buyer of the cue in July 1993 --- a Mr. Clendenin.....and a FedEx receipt for this cue addressed by Mr. Larry Nevel...the former World All Around Champion.

I was informed that this cue, in and of itself, would cost 1400-1500 new...and that's without the heritage to go with it.

I'm gonna cut a wicked good deal on this cue, as I'm motivated, and I'd like this cue to go to somebody that will give it a proper home.

ASKING $975, SHIPPED TO YOUR DOOR.

If you're interested, hit me up in a PM, and we'll sort it out!! :) ;)

Thanks, Chris.

Cue number 2 was a Jensen "Bushka" cue.

Sold for 425 bucks, back then. Nice looking one...and DOES look like your Scruggs.

BUMP TO THE TOP FOR THIS INCREDIBLE PHILLIPPI!!

Have received some PMs about both cues currently listed......

PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE. That's half the fun, right??!! :)
I ship USPS Priority Mail, insured and traceable.
I'm a VERY easy guy to do business with. No B.S.....no games.

Beautiful cue...

I had a chance to take a look at this cue shortly after Mark picked it up from Phillippi, and let me tell you, it is SO much nicer than the pictures show. Rick did a beautiful job on the restoration of this cue. The shaft was some of the nicest shaft wood I had seen. Darker wood with super tight grain. It is really hard to get such good shaft wood these days.

Thanks for the additional comments, Joe. Your input is appreciated...and valued.

I am somewhat (which really means VERY) photo challenged. I have one spot in my house with decent light....but without a respectable camera, I can't do much with the added brightness level!! :)

Joe is absolutely right....this cue is nothing short of STUNNING!!

If you don't like the price, ya'll... make me an offer. I'm a VERY reasonable guy, and in the mood to make a deal!

Thx,

Rat

Ya'll are tearin' me apart, here!!! :) :)

Okay....I'm prepared to take a painful loss on this cue, guys...just to make headway toward my Black Boar hunt...and to put this cue in the hands of somebody that'll give it a good home:

$815 SHIPPED, INSURED, and TRACEABLE

I'm motivated, ya'll. Let's make a deal on this gorgeous cue.

Great minds think alike, Guy!!! :)

....but I'm selling mine......

So I guess my mind ain't so great, afterall! ;)

trust me, mine is for sale, i'm just not in a hurry. it's very fancy and has a matching hand-tooled it's george case. as you're finding, the market for phillipi cues is a little soft right now. too bad, he makes a very nice cue and his workmanship is first-rate. mine is one of the best hitting cues i have ever owned. good luck with the sale.
