I had to sell a lot of my collection when I was unemployed, but managed to keep five of my cues. Happy to still have them:

Black Boar
Prewitt
Capone
Bluegrass
Morris

And once again...thanks for pouring salt in the wound!!! :) ;)

I love that Black Boar cue, DJ.....

If you decide that FOUR is your new favorite number, I'd be more than happy to give your BB cue a good home.

Nice collection, sir. Very nice, indeed.

Rat,

ummm .. I'm fairly sure you ain't getting the BB if Dave ever decide to sell it :D

DJ, you need to add Mottey, White, Tad or <feel in the blank> to your collection to have an even number collection.

Rat-

Yeah, Jazz has first dibs on the BB for sure if I ever sell it.

Jazz-

I may be in the market after the first of the year, have to see how the finances go. I have only been employed for six weeks. I would like to see your awesome collection again one of these days.

I thought your "boss" lived on this side of the bay, near me. If you ever come across hwy 92, then holla and you can see the current stash.

Come on - show off that Black Boar's Butt!

Seems like there are a few of us who appreciate the work that Tony does.
Have a nice 6-pointer and looking for another.

But what if I said "pretty please?".....

How about I arm-wrestle you for it?

Just how big a boy are ya??!! :) :)

Gorgeous Black Boar, DJ.....can I be second in line?

You got it, Rat, second right of refusal.
It's like a little club....I feel like I belong!!! :) :)

I know that Jazz wouldn't pass it up...but at least I can say I'm on "the list."

Be good, DJ.

Rat

Thanks, Jamie. Yeah, I like the look and the hit of ebony. The Bluegrass cue is 19.35 ounces and the forearm is not cored, so it has a very forward balance which I like.

I am not hacking the thread...
Just adding to the pleasure of the Black Boar Lovers.
Look at this sweet butt (not dressed up nicely like DJ's).
Better yet - check out the Birds Eye Maple on this Forearm...
Tony sure gets some of the nicest BEM's.

You kept some beauties. I presume you've returned to work. I hope the new job works out for you, wish you well, and also hope that otherwise the hardship was not too severe.

It's nice to know that a person can sell their cues in a pinch if they need the money. They were a nest egg. This may sound sappy, but you took good care of your cues. When needed, they returned the favor.

Actually, thats a great way of putting it, Chris. Many a time I have had to dip into the collection to pay for a new car, kitchen, holiday etc. Reward them and they will reward you back when the time comes.

Agreed

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, I am back to work and love being employed again. And you are correct, it is nice to have something in the modern world that holds its value as much as a custom cue. I sold a Hercek, Bluegrass, Chudy, and a Morris, and although I did not make any money, I didn't lose much either. I have purchased musical instruments for many ears and even Keyboards and guitars (unless pristine and vintage) don't hold their value like these cues did. I was fortunate that they helped keep me going until I was able to find a new job.

Thanks again,

Nice!

Beautiful Cue, Myron.

That is a keeper. They are getting harder and harder to come by these days.
