A while back I contacted Kevin about ordering a break cue, and was selling off a couple of things to fund it. He suggested that I send him a Jerico that I was selling off and a little cash and he would give it a little more bang so to speak.
First thing, brand new canvas resin tip and Ivorine 4 ferrule
Next, Kevin increased the jump handle length, by epoxying the old joint shut and installing a new 3/8 10 joint pin and phenolic inserts, with collar.
The next big change to the old Thumper, a brand new main joint. The original was a 5/16" 18 brass pin into a brass insert in the shaft. GONE.
Installed now is a 3/8 10 stainless pin into a phenolic insert with joint collars on the shaft and butt.
And to finish it off, I asked him to sign it. I would have preferred him to remove the Jerico signature.... cause he pretty much just used the old cue as a blank to build his break cue blueprint. But he honored the original maker by leaving it......... or maybe it was just to show what was actually WRONG with the Jerico......
I have already hit with it a little, but no serious workout yet. Im taking it out tonight for that part.
All I can say is good things. Very nice craftsmanship, and an attention to detail that is not seen in alot of "custom" cues out there today.
Thanks again Kevin!
