Due to circumstances beyond my control this year I am reading this poem myself.

Grant me the
serenity to accept the fact I am a spineless, gutless blowhard;
courage to recognize those that aren’t;
and wisdom to appreciate players with game.

Cuz I won’t be able to post any scores this year.

Salute to all those that did participate you are all players with game.

...now I’m gonna make like a tree and get out of this forum because I don’t belong here this year.

Breakup, that really sucks about your pool room closing up. :( The last I heard from you, there was light at the end of the tunnel and talk of a new one opening up soon. I really hope that happens. Be sure to keep us posted & let us know the outcome.

Time will tell! The person that is likely to do it will do it right:) .

In any event I expect some hazing next year for missing this year;) .

Cheers!

Mr. Breakup dude, from what I understand you are heading to the Derby City, I also understand that you can rent tables there in the off hours.

That being said, I think an extension for the DMHT wouldn't be totally unreasonable because of your circumstances.:D

Mr. Breakup dude, you should also note that your co-organizer and arch nemisis Mr. Betmore dude hasn't completed his sessions yet.

SuperG,
How dare you compare me in any way to breakup - I've been compared in the past to slime mold, bacteria, and mutant mice; but this is a new low. What did I ever do to you????

I anticipate having my sessions completed soon (just finished a 5-day shift at work).

In breakup's case there have been certain extenuating circumstances; but I trust he will receive his fair share of hazing (and of course a severe beating at the "Grudge Match" this week at DCC).

Mr. Betmore dude, I was in no way comparing you to Breakup, slime, mold bacteria (although some of that stuff is very benificial) or mutant mice.

I was only pointing out that everybody should be held to the same rules, even Breakup. If one co-organizer gets an extension then so should the other. Besides, although I may have missed it someplace, I don't ever recall there being a deadline for posting scores. :rolleyes:

edit---> http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=45708 your post clearly states that the deadline is before or after the DCC. That's kinda ambiguous don't you think?

G-man,
Very ambiguous. Very accurate.

We will not collate scores until after we return from DCC - everyone has an "extension". Of course, breakup really does not require an extension. Since he averages fewer than 1 ball made per rack, he could probably complete all 50 racks in 5 or 10 minutes.

Be sure to have that video taped as well, :D I'm sure we're all curious to see how the Breakups of the world would do at the Qskills challenge.

So how do you compare to a mutant mouse ? I know ... it depends on the mutation ... but in general, how do you stack up ?

curious Dave

That is an excellent question Dave.

It depends on the criteria for comparison. In cognitive and social skills the mice clearly have the edge, however in Basketball, Power lifting and Hurdles Willie is in control, regardless of the specific mutation.

it's really a toss up

breakdown,
I'll get you for this.

P.S. - well, at least no one mentioned hygiene.

I'm watching Star Wars on HBO

... I sense a disturbance in the force

hygiene goes to the mice.
