I recently sent my Predator 314 shaft back to them, As I detected a crack in it, and was told by the local distibutor that it would be under warranty....

The shaft was barely a year old and had always been very well maintained with regular cleanings with the Q Clean, Q Smooth, Q Slick & Q glide...

I heard from the distributor this morning that it will NOT be covered by warranty as they state it "Had water damage", and that the glue they use to make the shafts is water soluable...

This is BS.... :( (Sorry for my frustration)

What do they figure, I put it in a tub of water.. The crack was only about 3" long....

Secondly, I have never put water on the cue....Why would I? The cleaning products I previously stated do a great job....

I am quite perturbed about this and wonder if anyone else has suggestions that I can use to remedy the problem....

I currently have 2 other Predator shafts, along with my BK2.....

Maybe I should just switch to Tiger Cues...

What are your thoughts....

Again, Sorry but this is BS

Did you send it back to Predator or the distributor? You said you heard back from the distributor.

I just posted a similar situation.

I never got good results from the dealer/distributor just a bunch of bull.

I finally sent it to Predator and they contacted me directly. The cue was replaced. Allan told me that they have the best and most liberal warranty on the market. He made a believer out of me.

Call Predator directly: 1.888.314.4111

Good luck. I can feel for you frustration.

Weird. If they don't know already, maybe let them know that you have all these other cues and maybe they'll reconsider. Just keep going up the chain of command to the manufacturer if you have to. Don't give up yet!

Was it an older 314 or the new 314-2?

Good luck!

Predator

It was a New 314 about a year ago?

Thanks for help

I wish to thank TheBook for suggesting I call Predator myself and not go on the word for the local distributor...

I did call Predator Customer Service @888-314-4111 and spoke to Darren who explained more fully the situation and why it wasnt covered under warranty...

I came to an excellent remedy to the problem with Darren's help....

Thanks to everyone concerned....

You may want to try an OB-1 shaft the next time. I found the OB-1 shaft to hit better than the Predators but closer to the feel of the 314. When I had an issue that should not have been covered by the life of the shaft warranty it carries.....Royce Bunnell (the B in OB-1) emailed me back personaly with offers to help. I got an excellent shaft at a great price and unbelievable customer service. I even bought my dad one. I have no affiliation with OB-1 other than being one happy customer. Check em out! www.OBcues.com

By the way...what was the answer Predator gave you?

Apparently you are not willing to explain the remedy and why it wasn't covered? Just curious.

Glad you were able to get it resolved.

It is amazing isn't it. All that is needed to make things right is a phone call.
