The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour is at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ this weekend with 37 players competing for a $4,960 total prize fund.

Some notable players in the field include Santos Sambajon, Gandy Valle, Karen Corr, George "Ginky" San Souci, Ignacio Chavez, Steve Lillis, Jonathan Smith and Mike Zuglan.

They are down to the final eight players and Sunday’s matches starting at noon are;

On the Winners Side:
Ignacio Chavez vs Santos Sambajon
Gandy Valle vs Steve Lillis

On the One Loss Side:
Mike Zuglan vs Joey Kong
Ken Kerner vs Jonathan Smith

Also, Mike Zuglan is taking entries for the recently announced Turning Stone Classic 9-Ball Open events scheduled for February 22th thru 25th, 2007 and August 16th thru 19th, 2007 respectively, at the beautiful Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY.

These $25,000 added events will surely fill fast and are limited to the first 128 paid entries. Both events require a pre-entry and you MUST contact Mike Zuglan to enter!

Remember, the previous seven Turning Stone events were filled to capacity with many players being "shut out", so enter early!

The Turning Stone is a non-alcohol serving casino which means you only need to be 18 to gamble on the casino floor. All ages are welcome in the Event Center and spectator admission is FREE.

and then Ignacio Chavez over Gandy Valle 9-8

Ignacio Chavez was in the hot seat!

On the One Loss Side;
Joey Kong over Mike Zuglan 9-3
Ken Kerner over Jonathan Smith 9-8

then:

Santos Sambajon over Joey Kong 9-2
Ken Kerner over Steve Lillis 9-6

and then:

Santos Sambajon over Ken Kerner 9-7

then:

Santos Sambajon over Gandy Valle 9-7

So then it came down to Ignacio Chavez and Santos Sambajon in the finals.., true Double Elimination Format.

Ignacio Chavez defeated Santos Sambajon in the first set. 9-4
