JERRY RAUENZAHN IS THE MAN!!!

This cue is a work of art. Jerry has recreated a Bushka titlist conversion that hits lights out. He built two custom shafts with ivory ferrules and one Predator 314 shaft with matching ringwork to make this a GREAT daily player. He also added the ivory Hoppe butt ring in the sleeve so it looks just like an old Bushka cue. I almost forgot, this cue also has the OLD SCHOOL white with green spec Cortland linen wrap that you can't find or buy anymore.

Here are the pics hot off the digital camera showing off his fantastic workmanship. Sorry if the lighting is too bright. I'm working on that.

The finish is like glass with no imperfections, shafts are slickery smooth, the joint work is spectacular. Need I say more. He can make or repair any cue you want. I highly recommend him for anyone interested in a superb playing cue, and fantastic workmanship.

Jerry does do nice work he live about 30 minutes from me. He is the one that modified my Predator SE-4. Added ivory joint, G10 pin, and matched the silver stitching to one of Joe Golds shaft perfectly.
 
Yup! I like it!

The wildest thing to me is that joint protecter! Jerry knows all the old school proportions and dimensions along with the different tappers used by many of the masters. He uses them and does them proud!

did jerry taper the butt like an old bushka'. (at the cap around 1.3 inches diameter or so) or is it thinner like around 1.21-3? it might also have a slightly thinner joint than normal as well if it is of the "fat" variety to compensate for the bigger back end. i happen to love the old "fatter" tapers. they just feel great in your hands. enjoy the cue.
 
The Joint protector was not cut out from the cue was it? Hope not.

The Veneers look fading giving the cue sort of an antique look. Looks like a really solid player. Hope to find out for myself soon.

The butt is 1.275" and the joint is .840" and each of the ivory ferruled shafts are 12.80 mm give or take a few thousands just as requested. The cue plays rock solid, and is very well balanced. When you join the shaft to the butt it snuggs up tightly like a Tascarella does. It's a quality job done by Jerry Rauenzahn.
The veneers weren't very bright to begin with and there wasn't much dye on them which is why they look faded and old school. Jerry rescued this cue from my fireplace. I didn't think it would ever be this nice. He can do wonders with his talents and creativity.

The one Jerry last made me also has subdued veneers - personally, I like it better than the other one he did with really bright veneers. All personal taste.

If you like it I have a couple veneer cues here including one with a halfjoint cue that Jerry did for me. Any halfjoint cue is hot stuff. And he will make half joint veneer cues for $1000.00 And prices of course are always subject to change.

My new Titlist by Jerry-r-

Jerry's making me a cue right now, should be ready in a month.

It's going to be a replica of a Titlist Conversion made for me by Craig Peterson in 1964.

That was the best hitting cue I've ever owned.

Nothing real fancy, just a Brass Joint and Pin of that time period, old Green and White Speck Linen Wrap, two shafts 13.0 and 12.85 mm and a weight of 18.7 oz.

From everything I've read about Jerry, I figured he was the man who could bring this cue as in my old Titlist back to me.

He's going to make this cue with the specs. of a Gus Szamboti cue, so I don't think I can't go wrong with that.

Thanks to all who have posted so many pictures and made such great comments about Jerry.

Made my choice of a cue maker easy!!
