Efren on NPR this morning!

I woke up to a well-written piece on public radio about Efren Reyes this early AM. It included some very well-spoken words from Efren himself :) and comments by Rodney Morris and Ralf Soquet.

You do not have to wake up at 6 AM to hear this, you can actually go to their website and listen at any time...

About the only thing I cringed at was one poor choice of words when they spoke about him "taking home a check for $500,000 in September...

Mr. Booth-

Having your radio alarm set on NPR speak volumes !!!

(Is there a correlation between listening to NPR and proficiency at playing One Pocket ?:))

The webpage says the audio won't be available until 10:00 a.m. EST today. Thanks for the heads-up on the interview!

I don't know about that :) I am very fond of the game, but proficiency is a whole 'nother issue...

They did mention that Efren likes chess, and made a correlation to his "Magician" nickname, with a quote from Souquet something about the way he thinks ahead being different from other players.

They also mention him winning "Master of the Table" at Derby City.

I thought the piece was very well done, with a minimum of inaccuracy. The guy that wrote it must be at least a little into pool?? Or just a good reporter!

PS. I notice when I went to the link for the piece, it isn't up quite yet for listening at your own schedule -- later this morning I guess it will be. They do repeat their stories a couple of time every morning anyway, so it should come up again soon.
