shurts cues

nowadays there is talk of slow delivery at times.that is no fault of the cue maker or seller...IF you wanted it faster why didn't you pay for overnight..to me overnighting a valuable cue is worth it..that way it won't be sitting around some wharehouse somewhere..

I bought a cue from Bob Owen last week and he said I should have it by YESTERDAY!!! guess what...our mail JUST went, and STILL NO CUE!!!! I emailed him about it of course. for those of you deciding whether or not to try one, make sure he ships it in a timely manner unlike mine. I REALLY hope the weather don't ruin it or he'll get it back for sure!

Is this when the cue was originally suppose to arrive, or was it already late before this?

Show some maturity and assume either it was completely out of his control and the best he could do, or assume there was something not quite right and he needed another day or two to ensure you would be happy with the product.

hay man i hear nothing but good things about shurtz cues. when you do get the cue could you post some pics and maybe a review. slow delivery might be weather or something

Bob own is a very nice guy to talk to.. met him last year at Valley Forge.. even got a chance to hit some balls around with a couple of his cues.. very nice cues at very nice prices...

also got a chance to see our local player Pat Mcnally spank Gabe Owen in the pro 8 ball tournament they had last march... :)

You are really not being clear here. Did he drop it with the shipper when he said he would or not?

So you're saying it's only going to be 3 days late if it arrives on Monday.

If you're getting the run around, and it's alot more than 3 days late, then I can see the gripe, but if it's only 3 days, give it a rest, and have some patience.

Be a hospital and have some patients.

I know it is spelled wrong it is supposed to be.

Wow...hear that? Thats the sound on a hundred cuemakers pencils writing your name down on their "customers not worth selling to" list.

I think you've jumped the gun on this post.

A day? Two days? You gotta be kidding.
A week? Okay, at a week late I'd say you might have something to be concerned about but STILL would not warrant coming hear and making negative posts.

I hope you get your cue soon.

Hey Now!

I know Bob pretty well and can assure you that he will do what he says he will. I also hope you enjoy your new Shurtz cue. I loved the one I got from him.

After tracking the package on UPS we find they had a delay in Pitsburg, Pa. with all of the snow in upper PA. I'm just trying to clear the air on this, the cue shipped when I promised.

thanks

Bob, it's too bad you have to make your first post into this nonsense. Most of us know that Duke here is a serial cry wolf offender, so don't worry too much.

I think that you need to cut the cue maker a little slack. I've never heard anything but good concerning this particular cue maker, so you're dealing with a shipping problem and not a cue maker problem here. The cue was supposed to arrive yesterday, and it's not here today? That means that taking the weekend into concern, your cue (at the latest) will arrive Monday three days late? And you're already hitting the boards with your dissatisfaction to be presented to the general public? Sounds like you're one of those guys that goes to McDonalds and orders a Mac and fries and complains that last week your order had "more fries stuffed into that little box!"
Take a chill pill, wait for your new cue that WILL arrive.................and when it does, enjoy the hell out of it 'cause you'll be getting a fine cue well worth the wait and the dollar.

Are you not the same guy that started this thread last week????
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=53421

Did the buyer of that cue come here and start bashing you when your shipment was late??
That's unbelievable.....what a colossal twit....

Saturdays and Sundays aren't counted as business days when counting delivery days, at least not in this case. So if you get the cue Monday, it will technically be only one day late. And even that very slight delay does not appear to be the fault of the shipper.

Couldn't you have given it a little longer before jumping on this forum and insinuating negative things about the cuemaker...whom by all accounts wasn't wrong about anything?

You owe him an apology.
