Turning Stone Classic 8 vBookie

I'm going to have to rely on others for some updates on this event. I'm usually right in the cockpit when I go to Turning Stone, posting as much tournament smut as I can muster. :D

I hope the updates are forthcoming for the inquiring minds back home like me! :p

This is a very tough tournament to pick a winner because there are some EXCELLENT players who frequent the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour. Of course, add the Filipinos in the mix, and we've got the makings of a wonderful pool tournament.

Because the players are strong on the Joss Tour, it would not surprise me one iota to see a non-name-brand player win the whole shebang. It's happened before, and it could happen again. Those New England players have no fear and take no prisoners.

The Turning Stone Casino accommodations are EXCELLENT. Each player should be comfortable and will be ready to give it their all. I looked at the list, and it really is hard to pick a winner. When you are physically at the Turning Stone Casino, you can see who's hitting 'em good, who may be feeling under the weather, who is fighting with their significant other, who has had no sleep because they were gambling in the casino all night long, et cetera.

I put my money on Marlon and "Someone Else." I'm usually a pretty good handicapper, but this tournament is very tough to pick a winner.

May the best player win.

Hey, I noticed that there aren't any ladies this time around at Turning Stone. The WPBA must be requiring their attendance elsewhere.

You are correct JAM.., the WPBA will be at the Gateway Convention Center in Rocky Mount, NC for the Carolina Women’s Billiard Classic, February 21-25 2007.

We hope to see the ladies back for the Turning Stone Classics IX event scheduled for August 16th thru 19th, 2007.., we would also love to see both you and Keith at Turning Stone in August!

Jam, I'll do the best I can to keep the updates (and pictures) flowing.

It's a tough bet..every time there is one player who no one thought would make a run till the end..

It happens every time..

Someone Else?

How are bets for "Someone else" handled? Will a second screen pop up asking for a name?

I predict the winner will be a surprise to most. I do not think the favorite(s) will win it this year.

Looking forward to reading some updates. I know you're busy as a bee the whole week, but us inquiring minds back home will appreciate a little bone with not much meat on it when you get time! :p

Pictures too, pretty please! :D

We're actually doing just GREAT. We decided to take a break from pool for a spell, and I have never felt so well rested in my life. The tournament trail had really taken its toll on me the past 5 years. I'm going to be 53 next week.

There is no place like home, and I am happy. Keith has discovered Internet poker, and he's in action, so he's happy too! :D

I hope you enjoy the show! :)

No, Ken. Here's the beauty of "Someone Else." If any one of the 128 players that are not listed on the AzBilliards poll wins the event, their name is "Somone Else." So, in essence, it's a pretty good bet, considering the odds!

You can also bet on more than one selection.

I totally understand the tournament trail getting old, but I haven't gotten quite there yet - I suppose it is different when you are the player on the trail. A little early, but hope you have a great bday!! Pry Keith away from the screen and make him take you out for a great evening.:D

Jam...you and Keith enjoy the break..besides..there is about 3 or 4 FEET of snow on the ground...

You can see some the images I've shot with the new camera HERE

Those pictures are cool, and how about them mohawk helmets! :D

Pushinfader, you better post up some pics and updates on the event.

I'm so sick of the cold. It's about 20-something here and has been for a while. The snow we do have on the ground is completely frozen. You can walk on my front snow-laden lawn and never make a footprint in it. Pure ice! You need cleats! :o

I'm sure y'all in Upstate New York are kind of used to this sort of thing, but this snow/ice is starting to cramp my style! I can remember driving up there one year, the only car on the road, everything was white, and if you didn't see any tail lights ahead of you, it was difficult to stay on the road. I've got a Volvo, though, front-wheel drive, and it's a real snow mobile. I call it the "Alpine Mobile." While trucks and SUV's are slipping and sliding, I'm moving forward, full steam ahead! :p

It's supposed to be 50 degrees down here on Tuesday.

I have refunded the two bets on Allen Hopkins and there are none on Earl at this time.

Mike

Well, "Someone Else" has just become much more attractive. I just might have to bet a few more v-jellybeans on "Someone Else," with the addition of Dee Adkins and Warren Kiamco! :D

It's Post Time!

Time to get those Vbets in.

Vbookie will be taking no more bets after 4:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

It's off to the races in Verona, New York. Whoever comes out on top is anybody's guess. My bets are already in, and I like my chances! :D
