My friend & I just invested in an old Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. 5x10 6 legged "Phister" snooker table that the owner had converted to a pool-style pocket. He had the rounded pockets cut down & faced like a pool table. These are very tight pockets. The table doesn't have the original skirts to the rails but all else is in tact and apears to be very sound in regards to the frame & slate. We will know more when it's broken down for storage tomorrow (if it's bad, we can back out of the deal). There is damage to the veneers in the legs but the body looks good.

Here are some pics. Please let me know what you think and what it may be worth in current condition (we can replace the rubber to make it a traditional snooker table again) or what you think it's worth reconditioned (maybe suggest who to do the work).

This maybe would make a really nice 3-cushion table if you made the rails for it - then it could convert to pool/snooker & 3-cushion.

Thanks, Dave

Blatt Billiards

I would try contacting Blatt Billiards in New York city to find out about this table. They are the most knowledgeable and experienced table dealer/restorers that are around. Some of their staff have seen and done all when it comes to table repair and restoration. Hope you find out something good about your table.

re-post 5x10

This is a 1912 that I encountered in a basement pool room in Raytown,Mo.

Hey poolplayer, do you know George Michaels? If so, I'm trying to get a hold of him about this table. Please PM me with his phone # if you have it.

Thanks, Dave
