These are a few of the cues that Scott brought back to Houston from the show. Although the user is new, this seller is offering them for sale for Scott. The E.Y. is really nice and pristine, other then the small finish ding. Not a scam.

Ed Young,Josswest & Mottey on Ebay

I contacted the seller via ebay message center yesterday. I was interested in the Ed Young. He doesn't have the "Buy it now" icon because they charge an extra $150.00 for that service. He left me his phone number if I wanted to finalize the transaction. His discounted "Buy it now" price for the Ed Young was $2250.00 for fellow Azer's. He seems to be legit. Hope this helps all interested parties.

i dont know about that Paul Mottey cue...

here is deffinatly the same cue that somebody had for sale here on the forum and he clearly starts out the thread saying they are all straight and then when i called him on it, seeing the cues for sale before where one was said to be warped , he came clean and said that this particular plain playing cue was in fact warped... now looking at this ebay auction, it says the joint needs to be refaced.. it looks like somebody must have pulled the joint apart because there is no shine to the finish.. maybe heated it up? could be it had a bent pin, and it wasnt warped.. these are all red flags in my book..

can somebody shed some light on this cue?

here is the original link..and there is no doubt that it is the same cue!

Chris, the only light I can shed on this Mottey is that it was in Murphey's booth with us at the SBE. Never took it out nor closely inspected it. It left the show with him, went back to Houston, and now Roland has it listed on eBay. I suspect that Scott probably acquired it somehow from the original seller at the DCC. Hope this helps...Sean

Well, where to start with this one. Bottom line is there are red flags everywhere.

Someone wrote that the seller is "legit". Well, as opposed to scam, that may be true. But a legit seller does not find ways to beat the Ebay system, as this one has. He doesn't have a true BIN Price, but in his EBAY LISTING he states what he would sell if for OFF of Ebay. It's not only against Ebay Policies, it's basically cheating.

"Didn't want to pay the $150.00", aka, didn't want to actually PAY Ebay, just use their services to find a buyer without paying the associated fees. I do not call that "LEGIT".

The JW is just wrong. The points & veneers are just...wrong. Something about that cue, just can't put my finger on it. In an email with another AZer I made reference to this JW, and he replied that the cue was at SBE, therefore, it must be OK (to paraphrase). Well, perhaps, but I wouldn't touch it for half of his non-BIN price.

Now someone else says that he is only the seller, not the owner of the cues. Sometimes that's OK, I guess. Perhaps. But again, I don't do third-party cue sales.

So is it possible that I'm passing on a nice cue? Sure! But I'll stick to real cues, from real people, with real histories/reputations.

Just my .02! FWIW.. ICBW!

Sean.. thanks for all your help..

Roland---> can you please roll it and make sure it is straight? and also the shafts.. together and apart please? thanks.. chris

Both Josswests have been sold to a collector out of Lubbock by the name of Jeff...His associate, Robbie & Butch (Tourney Director for the Fast Eddies Tour) met with me on Thursday and paid for both cues....
As far as the Mottey, we did take the matching pair at the Derby...the fancier one sold first, and this one was left...
Shaft rolls straight...Butt rolls straight...Together they dont!
My experience with cues says that the joints need to be refaced, so that they match perfectly and cleanly.
As far as Ebay is concerned...yes, i am using it and an advertising tool. All those who wish to buy directly from Scott are more than welcomed to contact him at his office or through Cueaddicts...I am just trying to show some cues for all those who did not get to go to the Derby or VF...
More cues will be posted soon....and these Ebay postings are not free, I am paying for those.
