I believe Mr. Petree is now using a 3/8-10 flat-bottom thread joint screw. He makes an excellent cue - in all ways.Pinocchio said:Dandy lookin cue wish it was mine. I've got one in the oven quite simular to that with a few inlays. What is the pin in that cue? Looks like a great player an a good lookin cue.

Very nice and simple. Probably the best cue to travel around with. How much would a cue like this set you back?
Best regards

I didn't know white phenolic existed.PetreeCues said:Thanks. It's white phenolic at the joint, as requested.
I would build the cue with that quality Ebony and Curly Maple again for $450.

Secret source or a common source?![]()
PetreeCues said:No secret that I know. I ordered from Prather about 2 years ago. They may or may not still have it available, but at the time it was about $12 a foot.
I checked for you just now, and it still shows on the web site, but at $14.50 per foot. They call it "Grice" and it is listed as "while supplies last". I'm not sure if they will have it in stock or not, but you could call Jennifer at 800-364-6913 and ask.
It's listed here: http://www.prathercue.com/page cue parts/joint materials.html
Cheers.

Grice is not really phenolic though.
