Pete make excellent hitting cues , excellent workmanship, also leather wrap are very nice....:)I took a number and waitting in line...:D

Jerry is one of many that waited forever longer than he should have for his cue. I have had some personal setbacks lately and have been far behind delivery dates for many people.

Thank you again, Jerry, for your patience. I appreciate it greatly.

I believe Mr. Petree is now using a 3/8-10 flat-bottom thread joint screw. He makes an excellent cue - in all ways.

This is correct. The pin is much like the Southwest pin design, but I use 10 thread instead of 11. I do this because there are so many people out there who are wanting to use aftermarket shafts (OB, Predator, Universal, etc.) and I don't want my customer to be limited on those choices because of the pin.

All standard 10 thread joint types should fit my pin, they just may not fit quite as snug as my custom shafts (because I bore the i.d. of the shaft joint hole specifically to fit the pin very tightly).

Thanks for your compliment, qfancier. Appreciated it.
I'm trying... now I just need to work FASTER... as my customers are learning lately. (I know you are watching RHETT, Brett, Pinnochio, Doc, Scott, etc etc.... lol).

Is the white on that cue ivory? or perhaps ivory substitute?

Very nice and simple. Probably the best cue to travel around with. How much would a cue like this set you back?

Best regards
Chris

Thanks. It's white phenolic at the joint, as requested.

I would build the cue with that quality Ebony and Curly Maple again for $450.

I didn't know white phenolic existed.
Secret source or a common source?:)

No secret that I know. I ordered from Prather about 2 years ago. They may or may not still have it available, but at the time it was about $12 a foot.

I checked for you just now, and it still shows on the web site, but at $14.50 per foot. They call it "Grice" and it is listed as "while supplies last". I'm not sure if they will have it in stock or not, but you could call Jennifer at 800-364-6913 and ask.

It's listed here: http://www.prathercue.com/page cue parts/joint materials.html

Cheers.

Well, the stuff I have (2 yrs old) is linen based phenolic. I think what I meant to say is that it appears you can order Grice, which would look close to the same. Sorry for the confusion.
