Buyer Beware when dealing with bbkozy!!

I recently bought a Z2 shaft from bbkozy This is the ad that was posted on AZ Billiards.

"I have a new Predator Z shaft for sell its a 5/16 14 and only been hit with 4 or 5 times.I paid $210.00 for the shaft last month at the super billiards expo and i will sell it for $175.00.With this i will give u the Limited Warranty,Care Instructions and Owner Registration book..Reduced price $150.00??"

I paid for this item in good faith expecting a brand new shaft as advertised. However, when I received it, the ferrule had been replaced and very poorly I may add. It was not as advertised. The shaft is now worthless as far as I'm concerned because once you alter those Predator ferrules, they never hit the same. I contacted him and told him I wanted my money back. He basically told me I was stuck with it and that he no longer had the money. The guy is missing the whole point. He advertized something as NEW, which means as it came from the factory. If I or any others here would have know it was altered so poorly, he would have never sold it. I think he knew that and that is why he will not ever return my money. I wouldn't buy a piece of chalk off of this guy again!

Bad News!!!

Sorry to hear that news Scott! :(

Looks like this fellow is a newbie to AZ >>>

I'm hopeful he will wake up and realize that's not how we do business here on AZ

Best of rolls to ya,

That ad seems familiar to me, but when I search for it now (including searching all posts by bbkozy) I don't see it anymore. Perhaps it's gone/edited/deleted?

Sounds like the same deal from someone about a year ago on here, probably same person with different username.

Contact Kevin Varney on here and he will make a repair to the shaft that will not change the playing ability and probably make it feel and hit better, he has souped up a couple of Predator shafts for me and it will be useable or sell it to me if not interested in fixing.--Leonard

This will not make the bad deal right though unless he refunds the cash

I was actually reading the original post last night and all of a sudden.... poof.....it just disappeared!
I almost bought a Scruggs from the guy but it just didn't feel right, he was real pushy about it.
Sorry about your loss man but bad things usually happen to bad people and he'll get his....

You didn't buy chance pay with this via paypal did you?

If so, you can fight it with paypal. Odds are certainly in your favor if so.

Ok this is going to make me look dumb for not knowing about the Robin Dotson cue bbkozy has for sale but here is how it went. I talk to bbkozy on the phone about a trade i was to trade a used falcon for his Robin Dotson cue i knew nothing about this Robin Dotson cue so i asked him where he got it and what it was worth ? He said he won it or something and told me it was hand made by Robin Dotson herself and it cost $250 or so. I was to busy then to check it out and just said yeah i will trade you later when i checked it out the cue is not made by Robin Dotson and retails for $69 . I changed my mind before sending out the Falcon and sent an email wich i will post in a min. I never got any reply from this email and he reposted the Robin Dotson cue that same night for sale.

Here is the email

Well I thought I would let you know about the Robin Dotson cue . It is not made by Robin Dotson as you said and it does not retail for over $200 as you said ! It is a very cheap cue and can be bought on this site for $69 it is cue number 2

http://www.gatesbilliards.com/RobinDodsonCues/RobinDodsonCues.htm

So more than likely you will be getting your Robin Dotson cue back I hate being lied to !!!

Thanks for posting this information, this is what being a forum member is all about. I am very sorry that you were taken advantage of, and I hope that things work out for you.

It appears that the shit bags from ebay are expanding their domain. However, for the future you would be wise to look a persons reputation before dealing with them.

While it is not as easy as eBay, it can still be done even on this forum. Since this crap is starting here, it may have to come to the point of not buying anything from posters who have less than a certain number of post's. While this is not completely fair to all new posters, it may be the only way to protect our selves.

It may also be nice to see if it possible for the moderators to post something that identifies individuals with good and bad reputations.

Again thanks, and have a great night!!!!!!

I just don't want this happening to an of my fellow AZers. I have too much respect for this place in spite of feces like bbkozy. I am taking the shaft to a local cuemaker, Kevin Deroo tomorrow to see if he has a way to fix this mess. Kevin can fix it if anyone can. I just hope it's fixable.

As far as Paypal goes, I already filed a complaint and they said that because I received the item in good order, nothing could be done. I guess "It was not as advertised" means nothing to Paypal.

I agree that we really have to watch who we buy from. I bought an item from koinnkid and had no problems at all. In fact he fixed a mistake I had made even though he didn't have to. He is the 180 degree opposite of bbkozy.

i remember posting in that thread.. i told him he was crazy for paying 210 for it when so many people here could have gotten him a better deal..

i will have to look through my old posts and see if i can find it..

It seems that dealers of crap only get one strike !! After that folks are all over them.
On the rep points you can leave "why" good or bad . I for one read these.
You can also make a post like this one with there forum name in it and when you do a search of the fourm name it will pop up.
It would be nice if we started a (no more sales till both partys are satisfied rule).
I along with others I know, I offer a no questions ask by eather party refund on goods I buy and sell here .
I make it clear when I sell or trade something here If both partys are not happy with what they recieve send the Items back no harm no foul.
Your only out shipping ...
On a gripe like this where a item is not what the seller said it was and won't refund the money..........Off with there head !! The thought of burning another fourm member or anybody for that matter makes me sick!!
Refund or expulsion from the forum...
The "Bad Deal from" sticky is not a bad idea eather ..Lord knows it's a very short list !!!

Quick question--where do you read a member's "rep" report?

you can only read your own. and it is in the "User CP" and then you can only read the latest rep points.. like the last 5 or so..
