This 2000 Scruggs with MAK initials comes with maple, bright purple, bright green, and black veneers (they are the most vivid veneers I have ever seen from Scruggs), ebony points and ebony butt sleeve go into a nice piece of birdseye for the forearm. Butt sleeve has a couple small nicks I call "playing rash." Sleeve also measures 1.25", 3/8-10 ACME stainless steel joint and pin, two shafts with matching ringwork, ivory ferrules, medium Moori tips, measurements are 12.15 mm (no chalk weighs 3.4 oz), and 12.40 mm (blue w/chalk weighs 3.6 oz), both smooth and no nicks, remember shafts have no brass inserts and weigh less. Butt weighs 14.5 oz., cue together weighs 17.9 - 18.1 oz. Both butt and shafts are 29" & 58" total together. Cue includes joint protectors. as nice as they are even this nice scruggs is sitting in limbo in a soft market. i had my scruggs up and didn't even get an offer. nice cue and good luck.

I appreciate your opinion and, I think you are right, however, many players prefer shafts around 12.5 mm and these are extremely smooth and nick free. They have been well maintained, including like new tips as can be seen from pics. The weight can easily be adjusted to 19-20 oz with little effort. The best selling points are bright vivid veneers, and the ACME joint pin that gives this cue an incredibly lively feel with all the surface area of the pin in contact with the wood surface of the shafts. The balance is awesome as usual on this Scruggs cue. Hope someone steps up and makes a great buy on this keeper cue.

Thanks for not taking it the wrong way. I didn't think about adding that much weight. It is a good looking player's cue.
