THIS CUE HAS TO GO! I will consider all reasonable offers! This cue is listed at $1200 now, but I need it out of the house or my wife will kill me!

Up for sale is one of my favorite hitting Mottey cues. It was born in September of 2002. This cue is a great players cue!! Paul Mottey is almost always named when people talk about the top living cue makers. This cue is no exception! I really hate to part with it, but I need to support my other hobby.

Here are the specs: 4 Ebony points into a maple forearm. Ivory Hoppe Ring. 3 color rings at the joint, and matching rings on each shaft. 5/16 x 14 Joint, which looks like ivory, although it is not. Black Irish Linen Wrap. 2 shafts, both with ivory ferrules and sweet Mottey pilots (which are the best hitting shafts in my opionin). The shafts do not have any dings or dents in them. Both are topped with Le Pro tips.

The cue weighs 19.4 or 19.3 depending on which shaft used. [Butt weighs 15.7 oz; Shaft 1 weighs 3.6 oz (13.17 mm); Shaft 2 weighs 3.7 oz (13.15 mm)] The shafts could use a cleaning, as they have some bluing from play.

The butt is flawless except for one tiny blemish on the very bottom of the butt cap. I took some pictures showing it. The blemish is .14" X .06". For reference, a penny is .06" high.

PM offers or inquiries. Buyer information will be kept confidential on request. My [EDIT] asking price is $1200, which includes shipping and insurance to the lower 48 states. I am always open to reasonable counter-offers.

Pics are compressed, but I can provide the originals via email. Also, I can provide more picutres on request.

Please PM with info / questions.

what is the length of the cue?
I'm travelling, so I'll get back with this for you. I believe it is 57"

Also, I have a few $800-ish offers, which I believe are close to reasonable if the cue only had one shaft. But as noted above, there are 2 shafts.

BTW, if anyone is looking for a Mottey, there is a different one on FleaBay right now. MOTTEY ON EBAY (NOT MINE)

Thanks again!

the 2nd shaft is worth 400 dollars?
Hmm, he said close to reasonable.. Note the word close.. And I bet he's willing to accept prices below $1200, so I believe he wasn't trying to imply one of the shafts costs $400.. :)

If you think so, Dank, I'll sell it to you for $400. Sweet!

For the record, I'm not accepting low ball offers for this cue. My wife wants it out of the house, but she won't let me "give" it away either. To me, selling a cue at almost 50% of new price (and less than I paid for it), when the cue is in great condition isn't what I envisioned as "reasonable."

If there are not takers on the AZ community, I'll just fleaBay it... My reserve there will be $1100 - so if anyone has an offer close to that, let me know!
