Wrongful charge...please check your statements

I remember talking about this with Jay Helfert last summer when the Reno tournament was going on (we weren't welcome at the venue - ). We were talking about the IPT site membership and I remember telling him that I wouldn't give KT my credit card number to join or watch any of the matches because something like this might happen. At the time we joked and laughed about it, but I guess its not funny now.

Similar complaints have been made against Natural Cures about these types of charges in the past, so this is nothing new from Kevin Trudeau, just business as usual.

It would be of interest to know how your credit card details became known to Natural Cures. Was it via a subscription to a Natural Cures book or product offer you purchased or via an IPT Membership or Tourney fees payment you made.......or perhaps you have done more than one of these things?

Thanks Susie for the heads up. I don't remember which card I used with the IPT. But I will be watching for a charge like this.

These guys are unbelieveable. KT really likes skating on thin ice. One day it will break and he will be back in the pokey, where he belongs.

I will bet that somewhere in the terms of use, there is a clause about you're also signing up for a subscription of some sort. They make those things long and in kind of contract type writing so you won't read all of it. Odds are, he's covered his butt for the legalities part. But will have to give refunds to anyone who asks for them. Of course, I could be wrong, he could just be going after all the charges he can.
Always check your credit card statements for the charges each and every month. I watched a special on some guy who built a MULTI MILLION dollar carpet cleaning empire by double charging every credit card used. If a customer caught it, they would say it was a clerical error and would never do it to that customer again. But until it was questioned, they did it over and over. he finally got caught and was doing time in prison.
Even if the credit card company removes the charge, you may want to watch that card real close for the next couple of years.

Best bet is to card comapny and get a NEW number reissued. That is the best bet, since they (whoever it is) will not have that number on file. Providian did this for me when a fraudulent charge appeared. Well, actually the second phone call took care of it, since I was connected to some Indian Guy overseas who could speak a word of clear english. I called back asked for an AMERICAN assistant, and they fixed me right away.

If you get charged again...then something is truly fishy.

Meh.. That's small time. KT has been in prison before, and he has had infomercials shut down by the FCC for fraudulent claims. Channel 9 News reporting that he is a scam artist won't phase him one bit.

The key is they do smallish charges that might slip by, since a lot of people do not look at their statements carefully if at all.
Just the fact that the IPT site is still running as if all is well, just so he can sell advertising on it!

Virtual Credit Card numbers

Here is something everyone who uses their credit card online should look into.

I have a MasterCard from Citi bank that I use for online purchases or to fund my PayPal accounts.

The thing Citi card offers, and I'm almost positive ALL credit card companies have similar is something called Virtual Credit Card.

Here is how it works. You log onto the credit card company's website and download a small security program they provide. Once installed it works like this.

Say you have a credit card with $10,000 dollars worth of credit and the card number is 123 456 789.

You launch is small virtual credit card program and it asks you if you would like to generate a virual number and amount and even an expiration date.

Lets say you want to purchase a billiard video. You set the amount to 30 bucks, and expiration date for a month or two. The program generates a credit card number randomly ...... 245 543 589 only good for 30 bucks.

It is actually a subnumber off your original credit card but NO ONE has your actual number. Only the 30 dollar number. It is instantly able to be used and if anyone snatches it online it is too late to use since you used it all up on the video purchase.

This is a must have for online credit card use.
