surprise! this isnt about a shot, or position, or a How To thread, or how i messed up again.

anyway, this gal calls me last night about 1130, i was already in bed. between 1130 and 3:30 this morning she called me four times. she even invited me to come up so we could lay in bed and just talk. it was an hours drive, so i told her it was too late, and i was too tired - which was the truth.

we were supposed to go to the drive in theater tonight, but she didnt call when she was supposed to, and then sent me a text msg cancelling due to still being at her sisters house and running late.

so, what do i do next? she looks pretty sexy, so i want to sort of hang in there without seeming like i am needy.

DrCue's it's perfectly normal for guys like you that haven't had much experience with the opposite sex to not know how to handle these situations. I'd give you advice but what might work for me may not work for you... So I looked around a little bit on the net and found this book that may help you.

No matter what happens, as in whether or not she contacts you again or not, or if you contact her, I wouldn't sweat it.

kidding aside. lay low for a week. Then call her and say this: it was a shame we never got together last week. I have tickets for......... (insert some type of a real cool event) for next week. Wanna go?


The reason for this: one, laying low for a week, shows you are not needy. Two, you offer something that if she was on the fence she will agree to go. Three you ask for plans for a period that is a week or two out so that she might not have plans already. 4, if there tickets for something there is also dinner. This is the date vibe not the "friendship tip"... but remember the key to all of this. YOU CAN'T REALLY DO ANYTHING FOR HER TO LIKE YOU MORE. yOU CAN ONLY DO THINGS TO MAKE HER LIKE YOU LESS.

Just text her back and let her know that its ok and that she should get in touch if she is interested in doing something another time. PUT THE BALL IN HER COURT. See what she does. If she doesnt call or text back in a week or two...call her and just straight up ask her out...dont be girly about it. Just say, hey wanna grab some drinks or wanna catch a movie. If she says yes...then cool. If she says no, then forget about it. Its just that simple. Without knowing the situation fully...her late call was probably just a sex thing...she may only want that from you...which is ok! LOL
 
you guys are cracking me up :) she made a play for you (a very obvious one) and when you didn't come over, probably thought you were not interested in her and was embarassed. don't sweat it, if you like her call and don't wait a week - i hate that guy rule.

She called you in the wee hours to come over even if it was to just "lay in bed and talk" and you were too tired/sleepy to go!!!!!???? I don't know how old you are, but if you are in your 20's, you never pass up an invitation like that!! When I was in my 20's I'd leave the house at 1 am and drive 2 hours if I thought I had a better than 20% chance of getting laid!! It's called #*ck power, and it can make you do things that are above humanly possible in some circumstances!! And you apparently don't have enough of it!! When I was a senior in high school, I would make a 12 hour drive from western Colorado to Oklahoma Friday night after work once a month just to spend Sat. night with my girlfriend because for an 18 year old kid like me at the time, it was about all I was gonna get in terms of "the real thang."
When you get older, you're gonna regret all the ones you passed up, so my advice to you is to take it when you can get it!!! Because several years down the line, you won't even be able to make the ugly ones double take your way!!

I think she was just messin' with you, but you'll never know now. I would invite her to drive to your neck of the woods and see what happens.
 
An hours drive??? OMG!! I don't blame you for passing that up. Especially with today's gas prices!

Hell, I moved from England to the USA to be with the woman I love. My arms are still tired from the flying! Either get a more economical car or grow a pair!!

DCP, I really hope you were having a laugh when you started this one!

Just text her "piitb" if she says yes, you're good. If she says no, then she's a b*tch and you shouldn't waste your time on her.
