Looking for Action

Okay, I finally broke down and made myself practice for one whole week. I have played about 15 hours in the last five days, and I'm starting to feel it again. Eureka, I can still play pool. I'm not just another pretty face anymore.

In case anyone thinks I'm all talk, now is your chance to find out. I play about 8-4 under the top One Pocket players, and probably the best 9-Ballers could give me the 5 ball. Once again I am a shortstop speed player and proud of it.

I am looking for some cheap action around the L.A. area just to get in good stroke. I know I need to play someone now and test myself. Hell, if Billy can still play, why not Jay. He's about a 100 years older than me. :)

I am not looking to play any $1,000 sets yet, just some 40 or 50 a game One Hole or $100 to $200 a set 9-Ball. You might talk me into betting 50 a rack Banks (short rack) or 100 a rack (long rack) Banks. NO ONE in L.A. is barred from playing me Banks. NO ONE! (except Parica).

If you are a very good player, I am not embarassed to ask for weight (Wayne this means you). But I only want a fair game, not the nuts. One Pocket Rich gave me 8-7 and the break a couple of years ago. So that is about my speed. Tang gives me 9-7 and 9-6 when we played.

Most shortstop speed players, I will play even. I know you're out there, just let me know where and when.

Thanks for the donation Joey. I promise to put your name on my wall at home. :)

The last time someone told me they wanted to make a donation to me, it cost me a thousand bucks.

Good luck with your comeback Jay. I'll bet by the end of the week you have more action then there are hours in a day to play them. Johnnyt

Sources tell me that the HOB in Santa Monica is the place for $40 one-pocket.

The last time I went up there about a year ago, I got a game with a pretty good One Pocket player for 20 a game. I won eight games and he paid me 120 and went out to his car and brought me four rolls of quarters to pay me off. TRUE STORY!

That was my last game at HOB. I know Wayne and Phil hang out there. I need weight from Wayne, unless we play bank pool. He plays about even with Tang is what I hear. But I will take 8-6 and bet 40 or 50 a game. And Phil plays almost as good. He plays Parica with 9-7. I would play Phil with 8-7. So I do know my players. Thanks for the tip Corey. Anyone else in there I can play even.

I might even practice some cheap 9-Ball with you, and you are a pro! I like you, but if you want a cheap game, let me know. I need the competition to get in stroke. I have a funny feeling I will be betting higher soon. Too many people have been barking at me. They think I can't play. And maybe I can't anymore. We'll just have to see.

No, I am just learning too. Maybe we can learn together for $100 a game? :)

You might get me in a Pay Ball game sometime. You know, 2,3,4,5,6,7. Like $5 a ball and $10 on the 7, double on run-outs. I played that game once or twice in my youth. On a 10' American style table only, no "oceans" please.

I prefer the toy ten footers is all. It's like a snooker bar box.
