I didn't think it would take long to find out the knockoff artist but I didn't know it would be this soon. John, I hope this will show the readers on this forum the kind of person you really are. Thanks to everyone that provided information.

JOHN, I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD TELL ME WHERE I CAN ORDER A CASE LIKE THE JUSTIS COPY YOU POSTED. MY GIRL WANTS A JUSTIS BUT SHE ABUSES EVERYTHING.
THANKS

Sure. You will be able to buy them from Sterling Gaming in about two months. I have decided to start importing them. Call 877-283-7444 to set up an account and we will call you as soon as they show up.

And the plot continues. I'm getting beer and some crisp. It's 2am in my part of this world.

Makers Mark

This sure is getting interesting. I'm getting a Maker's Mark and coffee.

After reading this thread, are you sure it is real Makers Mark?

Come to think of it, I've heard there's a liquor salesman from Illinois who says he can sell you a case of similar-tasting stuff with Maker's Mark labels for $35 less a case.......

Am I understanding this right? John Barton is the man behind the Justis knockoffs? The same John Barton who defended Richard Chan and the X-Breaker?

Gary<hoping it is not true>

Makers Mark vs Crown

Make it Crown Royal and he's got a deal

They are already for sale

Why would John do this? Is that what I'm reading that he will become an importer of these "Bentley" Justis Knock-Offs.

If so it could be viewed as a compliment because he's not knocking off his old company as it's an inferior product.

If John Barton is not the so called culprit ignore all but the link......

Currently Playing Omaha 8/B And Hold 'Em On Ultimate Bet

if they're made, they will be imported by someone. if they're of bad quality i'd congratulate jack. if they're of desent quality i'd congratulate the importer. whoever he is, he will not infringe any on jacks business, and if that importer is an azb member, imo, the better.

cheers,

Wow.....

This is gonna ruffle some feathers...

I guess you have to read JB's previous post in the other thread wiht a slighty different tone... esp the part where he says that Justis and Whitten better get prepared to "deal with it "

Something doesnt fit here.....
I just cant see JB flipping copies to another member here after *****ing and moaning about the same thing is so many other threads...

Are you sure the source is legit?

Yeah, lots of funny jokes - good job, guys.

Blatant case design rip-off is pathetic thievery, and for a competitor to import the rip-offs is even more pathetic. One thing is certain - none of us will be buying these copies. Somewhat less certain - John's sales of his own cases are likely to go down as well. Personally, I've been to his web-site and didn't see anything that justified even 2/3 of the prices he was asking. Now I'm wondering if he isn't having his own cases tooled by the more experienced of the Chinese workers promoted from the Justis rip-off department.

The cases on that link aren't that much cheaper. I bought a new but second hand very fancy Jack Justis case, 3 x 6 plus, for the same price as the 3 x 5 knockoff. Maybe even a little less if you figure my price included shipping. I just took another look at the one I got, and it is signed "Jack Justis 2007" on the bottom...very fancy 3 x 6, all of the extras including a brass protector plate, cost was 600.00 shipped. It also works as a 4 x 8 which is really handy when I want to take a cue or two out to show someone. It is lighter than some of my 2 x 4 cases, and the interior is every bit as elegant as the exterior.

C'mon John

After re-reading all John's posts in the other thread, he all but said that he was the one about to bring these cases to American shores/buyers. I don't know why he didn't just come right on out and SAY IT...
I'm sure that he's reading these replies now and I don't understand why he doesn't just come on and say that he's the one.

I am not going to judge John just yet. However, if he has adopted the 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em' mentality after so many of his posts against repo's or counterfeits then he has lost much credibility here on this forum.

Well, my jokes were made before the importer was named. I imagine that the ones that will scream the loudest will be Jack and those that currently own Justis cases. Do YOU own a Justis case(s) ?

Doug

Edited to add: a room owner that I know says, "if you've seen one cue or case, you've seen em all."

Jack? If you read this? Just wanted you to know there will always be those who buy faux goods...from Rolex to Levis. I wish to thank you publicly for making my cue case. It was a pleasure buying from you. :)
