Whose form does your resemble?

What well-known player does your shooting form (stance, arm position, head position, stroke motion) most resemble?

Having watched some WPC vids, I've learned Daryl Peach and I have quite a lot of fundamentals in common. We're about the same height/proportions, have nearly identical stance, very similar arm position, same head position, and very similar stroke action. The only difference I see is that he has his forearm a little forward of vertical at address, and mine's closer to vertical.

Maybe I can be world champion some day! I'm off to the pool hall to learn how to never miss.

I'm a Mike Sigel style player.

I use to watch video tapes of him over and over in the 80's and emulate his style and mannerism's and of course his break and safety play.

Add a sprinkle of Jimmy Mataya to handle the loud mouth type's.

That was pretty much me, not so much anymore, now that i'm older and can't make two balls in a row to save my life, I just play One Pocket.

Having seen you in your video thread, I'd say yours resembles Monica Webb, actually. Her stance is a little different, but there's a lot of resemblance in upper body position, and the signature right arm.

So, only one serious response? Not that I'm not enjoying the jokes, but I'm interested to know what some of you look like when shooting.

I have no idea who I look like, but I guess I try to emulate Buddy Hall (minus a few pounds, quite a few). I doubt very much my style looks like his however.
 
A few people over the years said I had the same form as Allen Hopkins...not the results though. Johnnyt

I have been told that I resemble him when I play serious.I have his exact preshot routine and little shake.Although I tend to miss some balls.:eek: :D

Pardon me I didn't know Stevie Wonder uses the cue..

Anyway I think I'm about half Corey and half Jimmy (Jimmy White I mean)..
 
Over the years I have tried to emulate the Filipinos. At first it was Efren, but that only got me so far. Now I try to look like Alex Pagulayan at the table. I got rid of the pump handle, and reduced as many moving parts as possible down to a smooth snooker style/mix in a little efren flair and thats me.....well, what I try to be anyway.

Not to mention, I'm 5'6" tall......<<< reason I like to emulate the Filipinos! :D
